It is a beautiful hotel and an institution in Saigon and I have stayed there before. The one thing that irked me was because I had paid in advance with a debit card I could not charge anything to my room.

They have a nice experience at the hotel. All of their services are good. Their food is great and their people are fantastic.

I reserved a studio room for an arrival date of Monday July 10, 2023. My plan was to spend the week in Saigon taking care of some business issues I had and felt like i needed the week to do it. During the first day's stay I realized my son should be with us but He was two hours away. I called down to the front desk and had an extensive conversation about upgrading to a 2-bedroom suite so that I could bring my mother-in-law and my 16 month old son to the hotel for Tuesday and check out on Saturday. In this conversation the gentleman on the phone explained there would be a room charge of $263 to have the two-room suite. I told the person on the phone that I didn't know what I was spending on the current room that I had, so I needed him to tell me what the TOTAL I would be paying for the room for the stay. He said it would be $263. I repeated myself 3 times by making sure he knew that I was looking for the TOTAL price. Not an upgraded price. "What is the TOTAL price?" He said $263. The next morning I stopped in at the front desk to change my room keys and confirm the total was $263. Well when we checked out the TOTAL they charged me was close to $600 a night. Now, I could have rented three rooms for that price. This is why I wanted to know the TOTAL price. Knowing the total I could have said, I will just rent another room separate from our room. We complained and ended up speaking to the manager. She was able to give some relief on the price that brought the price down to closer to $500 a night, which is still unacceptable. In my mind the Caravelle staff really let my family down. Keep in mind I just had four families from America come join us for a couple of weeks in which I made them stay at the Caravelle while we were in Saigon, because I like it so much. But after this debacle, I think we have stayed there for the last time. I am extremely worried that I will not be able to control my costs because of bad information from the staff.

Room is so comfort and the view is great! Also, the default pillows are with good support

I booked two rooms. After the room cleaning, one room's minibar doesn't refill the coffee and tea pack while the other room did refill. I hope there is a minimum standard for staff to housekeep the room.

Location is awesome, So many restaurants nearby.

Everything , all the staff in the club levels were fantastic, the food the chefs made for evening canapes and breakfast were beautiful. Drinks options were amazing.

Loved our stay! Very classy area, so much to do in walking distance, and food everywhere nearby. My partner and I enjoyed the stay far more than we thought we would.

Pool deck is great but lacks atmosphere and is a little dated

The staff was wonderful, everybody spoke English quite well. They were always helping me with my questions, and getting a cab for me. Truelly wonderful and luxurious feeling. The room was spacious, soundproof and overall beautiful. The breakfast consisted of a variety of items, even a baquette with cheese! Ps: the air-conditioning works amazing!

Won't share my experience as it would take a lot of time writing.. one word. NO - no . Highly rude staff , smallest rooms ever possible. Pls don't go by what is written .. very small beds and rooms . Un necessary service charges would shoot up your bill. Now I get to know why a renowned group of hotels , chains. Are so better , as they treat you amazingly well

Everything , the staff in the club lounge were amazing , the chefs made fantastic food as usual. One of the best 5 star hotels in Saigon. The front door guys are awesome and really helpful

Like the room provisions and love the bed. Was given the front view and love the sight.

One of the bath robes seemed not washed as there was a body odour and appeared rather "used". The TV reception was at times breaking off.

The location was a plus point. Located very central to all stores, next to the Opera House. Also very near to the first stop for Hop On Hop.Off bus. Near to Ben Tharn market and a street that has a lot of halal foods. Has sauna steam room

- The jacuzzi cold water was a bit dirty. - The breakfast menu are not halal- friendly. Alot of pork mixed with other menu.

Location is good, near Saigon opera house. Good restaurants and shops nearby, close to the hop on hop off bus. Excellent breakfast Try out local food ban mi 😆
