The hotel is near to the train station, you will not listen the train. Being near to Ikebukuro will really help to go anywhere you want. The staff is really great and will help you with your needs regardless the language barrier

The price and the location was fine. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly.

The room was smaller than expected and had a bad smell. The room was right next to the train tracks so it was too noisy to keep the window open. The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The cleaners came around 10 am every day and if you hadn't left by then they didn't clean your room that day but just left a bag outside with new towels. There's no "do not disturb" sign so if you're jetlagged you'll be woken up by the cleaners. It wasn't a terrible stay but I won't come back.
