The house was perfect for our team retreat.

Clean , spacious and Comfortable accommodations with a large shaded patio. Cove for swimming, kayaking and SUP. Water Slide was popular. There’s no longer a water trampoline and the pedal boat is in disrepair.

This is my second time to stay in Discovery Bay, but the first time to stay in this home. Sunsets and being close to fast water are very important to me and this home was perfect. My family really enjoyed our recent stay. The house was very clean and the open floor plan provided enough space for us to gather together. There was enough space for everyone to sleep, the room on the third floor has 3 beds. There is a portable air-conditioner in the area that kept it comfortable. It is the amazing patio with its view that makes this home so special. We stayed on the patio from sunrise to past sunset except for the hours of 6 - 7:30 when there was full sun on the patio. It made for a good time to retreat inside for dinner. This house is very close to the fast water if you have a boat. The location just adds to a great day of boating. My family had a great time at this home and hoping to stay here again next year.

This property was close to fast water, plenty of space for our large family and the kids loved the waterslide. However, we have rented numerous times in discovery bay and this was the most run down house we have ever rented. Deck and deck couch was filthy, kitchen cabinets were sticky and the one cookie sheet available was completely rusty and black. Kitchen was not well stocked so if you come make sure you bring your own serving bowl, extra plates, silverware and knives. Listing says there is a trampoline, which wasn’t available during our stay and was a big disappointment for our kids. Beds were comfortable, bedding was clean, but bathrooms need updating (shower curtain needs replacement immediately) and make sure you come with all your own personal items and soaps - none provided. We will not be renting this house again.

Location and wonderful sunsets every night. With that said, the description of the property and listed amenities are not accurate. One of the bedrooms is not a bedroom. It has no doors or closet. It is completely open to the main gathering space. I assume that it was an office in its prior life. The top level bedroom has 3 queen beds and works well if you have lots of kids in your group. The master bedroom is very large and has a great sitting space to look out over the bay. The doors going out to the deck have torn out screens that are covered with spiders and their webs. The bunk room is great for a couple with smaller children. The last bedroom is perfect for a couple. The bathrooms worked well for our group of 11. The rolls of toilet paper were not new full rolls when we arrived and there were no extra rolls anywhere in the house. Bring your own supply. There were plenty of bath towels and hand towels. No washcloths. The kitchen is very old and is in need of an update. The refrigerator freezer has an automatic ice machine that makes ice but does not dispense ice. This means that everyone is using their hands to grab ice. We had issues with the microwave tripping the circuit breaker during dinner prep. Not a problem. Just an inconvenience. There is an extra refrigerator/freezer located in a back room off the downstairs bathroom. The freezer works well. The refrigerator chills but does not keep items COLD. It smelled like old fish. There was a cup of coffee grounds in the back corner. I am assuming the cleaning company thought it smelled too. Carpets are very dirty and stained. Smell is musty. No water trampoline. We got in contact with a previous guest and there has not been a trampoline for some time. Paddle boat is filled with water and too heavy to move. Paddles are broken. Peddle boat is filled with stagnant mossy water. Too hevavy to move. When you make a reservation based on number of bedrooms and amenities you expect them to be there. I did contact the owner re: many of the issues and he was able to resolve a couple of them but I do think the owner should be more aware of what his property is like and not depend on us to tell him.

The distance to fast water was excellent. The dock and water area could not have been better. The house was great. Kitchen could use a little attention but worked fine for our very large family.

The photos of Ron’s slice of paradise didn’t do it justice! This home was clean, beautiful and calming. We rested well and enjoyed ourselves. We needed a respite from the hectic city and this was it! The biggest challenge was leaving!

It would be nice if there were enough towels available for the number of people who are in the house to each have one. We had 11 people staying 7 adults 4 kids and only 4 towels were provided. Additionally mattress covers on the beds are something that are just assumed, but not on the master bed? The kitchen, which was not pictured in ad, needs some updates. Overall the house fit what we needed and we had family close by to borrow towels from.

We had a nice time in this rental in Discovery Bay. The house was spacious with plenty of room/beds for 8 people. One of the bedrooms doesn’t have a door but that wasn’t a problem for us since it’s the only bedroom downstairs. Our teens loved the water slide and water trampoline. Any issues or questions we had were promptly answered or taken care of by the owner. We would definitely rent this listing again in the future.

The house was in an incredible spot with amazing views and a boat dock. This was awesome because we brought our 2 boats. The host was very responsive and the house was clean. I would stay here again and refer other people. Thank you for letting us celebrate my bday at this perfect place.

The house was clean and immaculate. Ron was quick in communicating with me. Large windows in the back of the house showed the beautiful sunsets. They were so nice as to provide a New Year party kit to celebrate. The only set back was that I was expecting 5 bedrooms and there were 4. Otherwise, great host and clean house!
