Room is clean and very quiet, hotel is pristine. The staff is discreet and friendly, and the 24-hour market near the front desk is very convenient. Aestheticly the whole place feels light, clean, open, and peaceful.

150 for incidentals????? But have you guys seen your hotel? First the pictures do not look like the property at all. The budget was used strictly on the common areas, because the rooms looked like a motel. Booked a queen they gave us a full. I was afraid to touch anything in the tiniest room with popcorn ceilings and walls. A guest said they were missing a tv on the wall how did I know? The walls are paper thin! The room layout is also weird like they made one room into two. The staff also had unprofessional conversations at the desk and I felt overall unsafe. My best friend and I literally left as soon as the airport was open

Loved the vibe and ambiance. Local artwork was cool. Only reason I didn't go to 5-stars is that the bar is not open. The restaurant is also not open. This place would be great for a happy hour. Easy walk to other nearby places, too. Will hopefully return when that opens!

Great towels and toilet paper!! Excellent water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were great and secure parking. Close to lots of restaurants and a quick Uber or Lyft ride to Comerica Park.

Nice lobby and awesome staff, but the room was very underwhelming for the price. No closet, just a clothing rack by the bed. The tables still had tags on them. We were by the fitness center which was fine but could occasionally hear like a weird knocking noise. Couldn't tell if it was the gym or something in the building turning on and off? It didnt keep us up, but just be aware for those with noise sensitivity. Otherwise safe and charming.

Such a cool hotel that really exemplifies Detroit and the art districts. Beds were very comfy, we had everything we needed and it was ver clean. Front desk staff was very kind.

When I checked in the girl at the front hardly said anything. Didn’t tell us about parking, where the elevators were or even the room number. Overall the stay and room wasn’t terrible, but for the amount of money I paid I expected a little bit more.

It was an excellent day besides the later fees that they charge you and don’t let you know ahead of time they charge me $20 for parking and took it out of my deposit without me knowing about it.

When I walked through the front doors, I almost trip over a luggage cart that was too close to the door. Amicable staff, and an upscale facility. I got a great nights sleep. There were plenty of toiletries, clean towels and wash cloths. I suggest adding a rug that is fully under the bed, in order to cover the concrete floor.

The room was very uncomfortable. Concrete floors, very sterile and cold. Felt like a jail cell. No pop machines. Paid 4.25 for a tiny bottle of apple juice.

This hotel used to be amazing, it felt safe and taken care of. This is no longer the case. The parking lot is not secured, even though they charge $20 to park and when driving around the building to park, one of the doors to the building, which should have been locked and secure, was propped open with no one around. I did not feel safe as a solo female traveler. The tv did not work, the fridge was not cold and the air didn’t go below 67. Multiple areas where damage had been glossed over and very run down looking. Bed was basic, not very comfortable and neither was the bedding. I’m so disappointed.

I don't really understand the negativity towards the staff. Every staff member we interacted with was lovely towards us.
My main issues with the hotel are that the mattress was both really stiff and lumpy, it was obvious that no one had laid down salt on the sidewalks and in the parking lot so it was a sheet of ice, along with hotels.com stating parking was free as part of the discount, but still getting charged $20 for it anyway.

I chose this hotel for it proximity to a concert I was attending. The staff was aloof and rude. The room keys are also hard to use.

The property is a unique artsy boutique. It has lots of one of a kind installation of local artist artworks inside and on the exterior of the hotel.
Wish the restaurant is still open, it was very good according to the reviews.
Hopefully, they will find a new chef and reopen this restaurant to bring more life into this hotel.

Room was clean and unique. Enjoyed the environment. Comfortable stay. For the price we would have hoped for a little more, in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at in Detroit. Nothing negative to say about our experience.
Parking was really nice, although winter storm everything was ice.

The hotel is located in an area that is not developed and seemingly shady. The rooms are tiny with paper thin wall. The worst part was the concrete floor that even with the heat on full blast felt like you were walking outside. The inside of the window had ice formed and I could never get the room warm. The elevator felt like it was open to the elements.

This hotel is marketed as an "Artisan" hotel ...this just means there's a lot of unnecessary frills that they charge more money for. Eg, leather chairs in hallways, artwork, concrete floors in rooms.
Felt very safe walking around the area and our room was comfortable except a large cobweb hanging off the sprinkler head.

We stayed downtown for a quick work trip and wanted to try a new place out. This hotel was a convenient spot close to great restaurants. (We ate at Alpino which was awesome!)
The hotel has a cool vibe from parking lot to room. Every staff member was very nice and welcoming from the minute we got there. We had our dog with us and it was a perfect midweek stop. The outdoor area looks really cool and would love to go back in a different season. I highly recommend this hotel in Corktown.

The overall stay was great but a pair of my boyfriend's blue jeans came up missing which we found really odd. We wanted to be close to downtown Detroit and this was the perfect place. Staff was nice. Even though my van alarm went off for 2hrs I felt so bad.

this is very industrial feeling property. Cement floors, which are cold. Nothing in the room to put clothes in. There is a place to hang clothes. There is coffee available in the lobby for a fee. The desk staff are not friendly.

Love what the hotel has done with the property. The value for what you get be what you pay is wonderful. The location also felt safe and was near some very neat shops, restaurants and breweries.

The price vs reality is ridiculous.
Not even a basic coffee machine in the tiny room, nothing complimentary. Had to buy small bottle of water for 2.50$, NOT fresh muffin for 5$. Very disappointed. Will not be staying there again. Do yourself a favor and save your money.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Easy check-in/check-out, great parking and cool style. Checkout at 11:O0 am is kind of early if you drove to Detrot to see a show and you stayed out late.
