Was a nice room, only half the shower worked and the lobby was closed because they are still stuck in pandemic mode. No coffee or breakfast.

There was a power outage Feb 5th! A section of 12 mile and telegraph was affected. I booked a room and upon arrival, the hotel had no power as well. The power had been off since 530p, according to the desk clerk. It was a bitvafter 9p, with estimated power restoration at 130a. So, I booked a neighboing hotel that had power. Now, the manager is refusing to refund me! I worked a 12hr shift just to be inconvenienced by a power outage. Then... cant be refunded (per manager). Just ridiculous! Surely following up with my bank if necessary

This place is horrible. I came in and left. I realized once I drove there that the high rating on Expedia that led me to chose this hotel is false. It is horrible. Old white towels that are dingy. Dead bugs in the bathroom. TV does not have one clsr channel. Disgusting! Also very shady looking people working and hanging around the hotel (really a motel)

First off the floor was sticky and when I took a shower the bottom of the tub was slimey and the tub was clogging up. When I turned the Tv on the reception was terrible also the free wifi didn't work .

I always enjoy my stays at Marvin Garden’s when I visit Southfield. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable at a reasonable price. It’s conveniently located by shopping centers, restaurants, pubs & sports bars and it’s right off the expressway.

I especially didn’t like having a microwave and refrigerator in the bathroom! That’s highly unsanitary!!! Outside of that foolishness everything else was ok. And can your hotel start taking the sheets/blankets out of the dryer when they are done because the entire bed was wrinkled really really bad!

The only good thing about this was the really nice woman that checked me in. All downhill from there. This place is known for having amazing bathrooms, and it was the only reason I booked. Room not that clean, phone didn’t work, WiFi failed altogether, and I up charged for this room just to be across from the washers… with a borderline broken shower. I’m livid, and contemplating checking right back out.

The picture are misleading. The room is outdated the furniture definitely outdated. The refrigerator is in bad shape rusted and door stuck mattress worn out. Holes in the sheets.Front desk swith my room but it had gnats and awful smell. Cricket chirping all night. Spider webs on the walls...Swith back to previous room but very uncomfortable. DON'T RECOMMEND FOR ANYTHING ABOVE $40 a night. Extremely Disappointment in the room overall.

The place was dirty. We left our room and came back and our key card didn’t work had to wait to be switched to a new room which was dirtier than the first room. Switch to another one that was equally dirty and finally gave up. Won’t be returning there..ever.

For our trip this location was ideal. Close to all events we attended. Only issue was, in the description a complementary breakfast was listed. Due to COVID issues they are not using the lobby for any customer activities.

I needed to stay here for a couple days due to being kicked out of my home…it was comfortable, however the light in the bathroom was out. The bed was extremely squeaky and had a ton of hair in the bed itself. Not sure if the sheets were washed from the last guest. The shower was amazing but due to lack of lighting, the doors being and there wasn’t a non slip mat to go down, it was not as great as I expected. The toilet was NOT cleaned, they must have forgotten the toilet needed to be clean on the top and bottom!! Other than those significant things, my stay was quiet.

One hour and a half checking in while being screamed and swore at at the “front desk” staff and by the manager over a telephone and microphone - no kidding, how could I make that up - due to Expedia not sending in our reservation correctly. Expedia doing nothing to help the process, taking three representatives and far longer than it should have taken to fix a relatively simple problem. Can’t decide who was worse, but won’t be using Expedia ever again and suggest you do not either.
