Large spacious room.

I was supposed to be upgraded to a room with a city view, however the room I got had one small window looking out onto a building duct. The property is an old property and that's visible from the minute you enter from the quality of interiors and fixtures. The rooms smell damp. The staff can NOT understand English and are barely able to communicate effectively. The pillows are very big and stiff, with the hotel not having any thinner pillows making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. Having moved here from another hotel in Hanoi, the drop off in comfort and hospitality was a world apart.

The hotel was in a great location near to the old quarter. The room was clean and very spacious! I would defiantly stay here again.

We stayed here twice, once at the back of the hotel and the second facing the main road. On both occasions the room was perfectly quiet (except when you opened the windows). Our rooms were a good size with plenty of storage, and a comfortable bed. There is a restaurant onsite but we only had breakfast there. We are vegetarian (normally vegan but that is almost impossible in Vietnam!) and we found plenty to eat at breakfast. The location was great, right in the heart of the Old District and walkable (minding the crazy traffic) everywhere.

Nothing to much, but the stafff were a bit inflexible with some issues we had that we had along the way, but nothing major.

The WIFI connection was not great. I tried to get some work done but the internet was sometimes okay and at other times awful. The listing also mentioned a desk but there was no chair initially and only a cabinet which could be used as a makeshift desk.

Only issue was when we were checking out the credit card machine stopped working. Staff blamed us and said we couldn’t leave until we paid. The issue was with their connection and nothing to do with our card as the machine wouldn’t work with local cards either. We had a connecting flight we had to catch so this made it stressful.
