Rooms spacious. Reasonably priced drinks

1. Room not cleaned, dust floors and litter under the beds from previous guests. 2. Quality of food really poor, dry grilled hake on 2 consecutive nights, small selection of fruit for an area like Limpopo where fruit is wholesome and delicious. 3. Water bottle replenishment very inconsistent at night. 4. Requested a mushroom/cheese omlette for breakfast, only to be told that they cannot use the mushrooms as they needed them for the gnocchi at dinner! 5. No alternatives to pork and beef in their menu, except for pizza! 6. Poor wifi quality in the rooms, and poor cell phone signal. You have to drive out to Hoedspruit which is 15 minutes out for a signal. 7. Ordered a chicken wrap for lunch that took 50 minutes to prepare, then had to rush to a game drive. 8. White lions are their main attraction, however, the 5 of them are kept in a separate gated enclosure and their habitat is human-controlled, much like a glorified zoo! 9. This is not a big 5 resort, they drive you an hour into the Kruger National Park to hopefully sight an elephant, but this is in a closed vehicle. 10. For a small family-run lodge, there is authenciticy and personalisation lacking. 11. We have been to 18 game lodges in and around the Kruger and this was by far the worst. 12. You are better off driving through the park yourself. You will experience a more realistic and wholesome big 5 experience in an authentic environment. 13. Definitely not a 4 star lodge experience. Not worth the fortune we paid for 3 nights.

Kindness and hospitality of the staff was great!! Furthermore the location is superb. Very quiet and with the beautiful nature all around you.

The game drives, guides were extremely informative. Staff as a general rule were extremely accommodating and helpful. Food was delicious. Wildlife such as giraffe would come close to rooms and lake we looked into permanently contained 4 or 5 hippos

The schedule was very rushed and could not substitute a morning or afternoon drive for a night drive (which required additional payment) meaning you could not enjoy relaxing time during day unless you sacrifice an included part of the stay. Were not suggested to walk outside of walking path from rooms to restaurant/swimming pool meaning only activity other than game drives being swimming pool. Game drive into Kruger was in a 12 seater closed bus, whereby confusion at camp lead to our arrival approximately 1 hour late and not taking other paths - could have done self drive

The Elandela is a family operation and it’s run with great pride and investment in creating excellent game viewing, including a day trip to Krueger to make sure guests see elephants. Food was very good and service top to bottom was truly superb

It’s a bit more manicured than I like.
