We stayed at the Spring Valley Inn to visit the Frank Lloyd Wright sites in the area. it was perfect for this. Taliesen was just down the street from the motel. The grounds are well kept. Rooms and facilities clean. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it

Everything! The staff was awesome. Everything was clean. Beautiful pool, sauna and steam room. The bed was very comfortable also. There was a nice hot breakfast offered in the morning. It even offers a bon fire, but it was too dry while we there there to use it. I love that there was a bar, Pats place, to enjoy a cocktail after we came back from dinner. It is in a great place, especially if you are going to house on the rock. The grounds are very well cared for, with lots of flowers, and places to sit out doors. One more thing I thought was cool was a bank of refrigerators in the lobby to buy beer and other refreshments, even bar pizza, and ice cream.

Quiet and very nice

A tad dated

We had spent the day visiting Wisconsin Dells and really really to stay somewhere a bit out of the city, less crowding. I found this place online and saw it was only an hour away and it looked like a remote, quiet area-- I was shocked at HOW remote though! On the way there, I kept wondering if the GPS was wrong and I was getting lost. It is miles and miles of rolling hills and the hotel is truly "in the valley" but it's stunning. Make sure you plan ahead because you have to travel a little ways to the next town to find a restaurant. However, they have frozen pizzas and snacks available near the front desk if you need something in a hurry, as well as a good stock of beers. Breakfast spread in the morning was a great variety.

This sounds silly to complain about but the plastic cups they had in the breakfast area were like mini cups. I'm a big coffee drinker so I had to refill it 3 times and it would've been nice if they had standard 12oz to-go cups. But no biggie.

A limited number of TV stations

First of all, this place is out in the quiet countryside surrounded by fall colors and farms. The Frank Lloyd Wright like structure is all on one floor in several buildings, so you do have to walk outside briefly ( under a roof) to get to breakfast / check out / the bar. The grounds are pretty and the staff couldn't be nicer! This would be a great place for a family reunion or small business gathering. We will be back!

The location of the motel was great. In the county, but still close to town and attractions. Rooms were nice. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The fire pit and bar lounge was nice after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was good. The staff were very nice. It is an older motel, but very nice.

Loved the location especially.
