The staff were really friendly and welcoming,
The food whilst simple was delicious and perfectly cooked. Very good value. The room was clean and sympathetically renovated for its age and had better facilities than expected, including all toiletries needed. The bed was comfortable and the bedding cozy. Overall very happy.
The windows were a bit breezy (expected for the age of the building and the insides of the frames needed a clean.

The location suited us as it was outside the town of Bampton but on the A396 roundabout for easy access. Nice old farmhouse converted into pub/restaurant. I thought the food was very well prepared but the menu was a little truncated. Our room was big enough given the cost, and the bed was excellently comfortable. There was no housekeeping as such, but we quite liked not being disturbed and the very nice staff members were always happy to re-supply (good quality) tea and coffee sachets.
Quite a noisy water pump system in the room for making sure the waste water left the building presumably! The TV had a good quality screen but Freeview only.

The room had a nice comfy bed and a good shower.
We were kept waiting for our evening meal . People who ordered at the same time as us had finished their meal before ours arrived.
We were told breakfast was from 8am. We were asked what time we'd like it and we said just after 8am as we wanted to get away. When we went downstairs everything was in darkness with no one around. We waited until 8.30 and left as there was still no sign of anyone.
