Beautiful setting, lovely restaurant, bar and leisure facilities. Brimstone spa is an additional cost but was worth it.
Room was very, spacious and comfortable. Good location for hiking in the beautiful langdale valley

Friendly and kind staff.
* Spacious, clean and pleasant bathroom.
* Convenient room location near the stove.
* Room service food was hot and tasty.
Very limited storage — no chest of drawers and only a few hangers, making it difficult to unpack.
* No mini fridge in the room.
* No “Do Not Disturb / Please come back later” sign for housekeeping.
* Very poor vegan options — the food offering felt very behind the times. Even basic items such as hot chocolate had no vegan alternative.
* There was no vegan main option for the roast dinner, which was particularly disappointing.
* Very limited gluten-free and vegan breakfast options — essentially just toast.
* Buffet food was cold.
* Despite contacting the hotel several times months in advance about dietary requirements, there was no useful response until several days into the stay.
* It took a while to arrange suitable breakfast food, despite having raised the requirements well in advance.
* Room service hours were quite limited, starting from 5:30 pm.
