Great location

Air conditioning not great

As we were upgraded free of charge to an oceanview room we had a wonderful view over the promenade, jetty and bay including great sunsets. The front desk and concierge were very helpful minding our luggage as we arrived on an early flight and phoned us at midday to say our room was ready. The tram stop was just a few metres from the hotel and took us into the city. The room was spacious with two king beds and a seating area near the windows overlooking the beach. My husband went to the pool area where he enjoyed the spa pool. As we were out all day and tired on return we didn’t get to use other facilities. The hotel was close to many cafes, restaurants and shops.

The only negative was the shower recess let water run outside onto the floor soaking the bathmat. Otherwise there were no complaints.

The location, the staff.. especially Gabriel the enthousiastic doorman/porter and the smiley girls at reception. We stayed 2 times during our holiday and both times we got a great upgrade.. good surprises!

Location is excellent

Very tired looking, in need of complete refreshment? Bridge to car park used as storage? Wallpaper peeling, lighting old, tv screens small, furniture is basic.
