Hotel Tre Archi

The desk staff were very friendly, accommodating, and professional. Mary greeted us upon arrival and truly helped me with assigning a room that kept me from climbing stairs with my somewhat limited mobility. The continental breakfast was very nice. The very best part was location with several nice restaurants along the canal on both sides and public taxi literally right outside the hotel door.

Curtains could not be closed. Also the shower doors didnt close enough to keep water from pouring onto our bathroom floor.

The hotel is right on the canal with a water taxi outside. The design of the rooms was traditional.

The breakfast could have had hot food options. The decor, particularly in the main building needs updating.

Family room was very spacious, with a second bedroom upstairs, kind of like a loft which was great, very stylish. Breakfast was excellent, served in a very cozy terrace. The location of the hotel is great, right in front of a Vaporetto station "Tre Archi", from which you can travel to all the main attractions, but they are also within walking distance if you don't mind the maze like streets of Venice. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Property is located straight across from the Tre Archi water bus stop, just a couple of stops from the train station. First room we stayed in (had 2 stays in this hotel over a single week) was clean and relatively well maintained, nice design.

First room had horrible water pressure, air conditioning was not working very well. Second room was quite worn down and dirty - water stains on the glass which has not been cleaned, accessible chair in the shower was dirty,broken handles and door frame, unidentified stains on the mirror, limescale and black mould in the bathroom..Hairdryer in the room was a joke, looked more like a hoover, took ages to dry my hair; the hairdryer was wrapped with some sticky worn off tape that has partially melted due to the constant heat and use. Water in the shower was draining very poorly, which lead to the bathroom floor being flooded after one quick shower. Seals on the shower doors were coming off, no wonder the water was not sustained within the shower. We were not given the key to close the door, just the access card - learned it as we were checking out, so slept all night with the door open.. Breakfast is another thing to mention - listed as “good” it had no hot food options - porridge or scramble; 2-3 options of cold cuts, yoghurt and boiled eggs. Pictures of the hotel showed fruits, variety of cakes..the place did not even had toaster; many options on their automated coffee machine were unavailable. City tax was thing we expected, did not expect to pay it straight as we have checked in and for the hotel not to have an option to pay via card - for any traveller who has not yet acquired cash and just trying to check in as they arrive into Venice this might be an unpleasant situation.
