Situation and history Fabulous restaurant
Small room and bathroom with high bed. Difficult stair case to manage, especially with luggage. But it is an ancient building and we were fine and very reasonably priced.

View of the cathedral from my room - wonderful!
Stairs are tricky and would be awkward if you have mobility issues

Nothing

Immaculately clean and tidy. My room and bathroom had one of the great views of England, staring straight ahead at Well’s Cathedral, only the great lawn between it and me.
Excellent bacon and sausage at breakfast served by an absolute treasure, Evelyn.
The only reason for not giving a 10 star, and this is petty as it was only on for about 1 second, was the overbright LED bulb in the ceiling light.
