Room and location

The rectangular light attached to the beam above the bed stayed on all night. Not helpful for sleep. Presumably it is usually activated by a movement sensor? and if so not working. Nice large shower cubicle in the bathroom but the adjustable slide for the hose should be repaired so that it can move up and down. A corner shelf would be useful and I think older guests would appreciate a couple of safety rails for stability and to prevent slippage when the surface is wet. Accidents can be expensive all round. The towel rad is loose and mostly held in place by the plumbing - potential for leaks!

Good location, fantastic team on site, very helpful and friendly, lovely little pub and patio. Room was clean and mostly comfortable, great bed.

Massive downside - emergency light right above our heads, on the beam above the bed in room 3. Had to climb up and put a blanket over the beams to cover it, encouraging a dust rain onto the bed. Seems like the light could have been placed above the door, which would not disturb sleep.

It was a lovely visit. Greeted warmly and loved our room, thankyou!

Having the kettle on the floor but that's a minor grievance.

The staff were very friendly. Sarah the manager said we could lock our bikes in the cellar as we were riding the Mendips Way. The room was clean, with comfy beds and bedding, there was plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, and one of the best showers. We also ate in the pub which was great value for money. Would highly recommend.

Squeaky floorboard but this couldn’t be helped as was a very old building.
