Locus Amoenus

Loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The host was super friendly. The breakfast was delicious.

Nothing

This location in the heart of Matera’s Sassi district is perfect as it is slightly off the tourist trail but close to the main sights. We were able to park our car only 5 minutes away. There are excellent restaurants close by, especially La Locanda del Vicinato. The breakfast each day was fresh and delicious. The apartment is beautiful and spacious, as well as being extremely comfortable.

Nothing

Private entrance with a patio, large room divided into two sections. Bathroom was huge, and there was a spa bath that we used every night. Breakfast is brought to your room every morning. And, it’s a cave dwelling!

Nothing. Some noise at night, but that’s because it is a popular area.

Location, nice decoration.

Mind that this is a room, not separate apartment. Our room had a glass door right in front of the bed, all sounds came through: host kitchen and wc right behind it. Someone waking up at 6 am and starting loud talking, preparations and so on. Not possible to sleep. Breakfast nicely decorated and thats where it ends. Only carbs, second day pastry, water filled in from the pipe, but served in a bottle from mineral water, which was not nice. This is a fineplace to stay, but not worth the price
