What we loved most about this hotel was definitely the kindness and hospitality of the staff. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay special! Everything was perfectly organized, especially the shuttle service. We left our car outside the city center, and the driver took us into Matera, sharing interesting stories about the sights along the way and even stopping at an absolutely breathtaking viewpoint. The hotel itself is in an incredible location. You could simply sit outside for hours, admiring the magical views of Matera. Upon arrival, the receptionist took out a map and personally marked all the places we should visit, where to eat, and what not to miss. Our room was beautiful, with an authentic Matera atmosphere that made the whole experience even more special. The breakfast was also lovely, with plenty of variety. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail are on another level. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Matera. Truly unforgettable!

fantastic breakfast, authentic cave room experience (humid higher than normal), stay within the sassi areaa to experience both the day and night time periods. Very clean. free shuttle service from and to the carpark fantastic help.

I did not like the humidity, but I did sleep well surprisingly.... it was part of the experience, which is what I wanted!
