It was very peaceful and clean. The breakfast was a nice selection.

I was traveling alone and had trouble with my phone charging the day of check in which put me behind schedule and was horrible. I communicated by email. The owner called reminding me of late check in charges and wanting me to respond by What’s App while I was driving alone in the dark. It took more time for me to pull over and respond and added a lot of additional stress. I’m just glad I made it safely honestly. There’s nobody else to rely on in some situations when traveling alone. The owner ended up not charging me for the late check in after all which was nice. I just learned to not stay at a place that wasn’t more flexible with check in when traveling alone because things do happen outside of our control.

We are deeply impressed! I would say that Macciangrosso was the best place we stayed at in Tuscany! It made our trip even more beautiful and joyful! We played tennis, swam in the pool, and read books in the garden! Dorel and Elena were very caring – the rooms were always clean, and the grounds were well-kept. We will definitely come back here! I liked the service, the views, and the gardens at the resort.

The description said there was a fitness center. In reality, there was nothing of the sort. The “fitness center” consisted of a small room with two pieces of equipment—exercise bikes. It also mentioned that there was a tennis court. There actually was one, but the equipment—rackets and balls—was absolutely terrible. The rackets were so worn out that they fell apart in your hands, and the balls were so old that they didn’t bounce. For this reason, it’s actually impossible to play tennis at the estate. Expecting someone to bring tennis gear on a plane is asking too much. The host promised to at least replace the balls, but didn’t follow through.

The facilities, good for families. We love the relaxing room and gym.

The mattresses are not comfortable in the townhouse. The swimming pool closes early at 8pm. It could close preferably at 9pm in the summer months. Paying 12 euro for a load of laundry machine that we had to do ourselves is overpriced whereas in another villa they did everything for us for 10 euro.
