Amazing location, really clean and had a warm feel inside. Beautiful room and the bed was really comfy.

Parking was next to the house, in their grounds and easy to access. The house is only 2 mins drive from anywhere in the village, so great location. The free wifi worked well. Telephone reception was fine.
Very varied breakfast menu, from attractively presented fresh fruit, yoghurt and juices, to toast, eggs any way you want, eggs Benedict, full english, mackerel...and more - catering to all appetites and requirements.
The ensuite room was very nice and shower water pressure good.
In the evening we ate really well and reasonably at The Miner's Arms, a pub/hotel at the other end of the village.
A small comment on what was otherwise a great experience - there was a lot of hanging space, but the rest of the surfaces were taken up with the (excellent) TV, coffee etc. Although there is a fold-out suitcase support thing, as there were 2 of us, we put 1 bag on the dressing table, 1 on the chair for the stay.

Quiet location convenient for visiting
Bakewell and Chatsworth House.
Lovely breakfast freshly cooked.
Attic room was rather hot. Bathroom on landing.
If we visited again we would choose the en suite room.

Pleasant hosts
The bathroom was in the corridor, not within the room , the bed was a tight double bed, a small room and uncomfortable pillows and mattress. If I was aware of all this I would not have come. We were called by the hosts to see at what time we were arriving, as they may not be around. It didn't feel professional. Also, we ask the host lady about the things that we could do around Eyam, and she simply said "there are loads of things to do" and suggested to visit a hall and read the leaflets in the entrance. If the same lady is calling me to see when exactly I am arriving I would have expected more.
