largest screen tv I ever had at a hotel. Rooms seemed well insulated for sound, and it had a very "new"-feeling, "notch-above" construction at 5 years old now. Clean surfaces and solid materials. It had an actual shower, not bath-turned-shower, which is appreciated. I skipped the breakfast, as it didn't look appealing to me, but seemed like standard fare.

Nothing really to complain of but for one thing that took too much time. The internet log on didn't work and I needed to use a special admin logon I didn't know about. But there was no easy-to-find number for the front desk to find help with this, not even scouring the internet. And of course there was not a phone in the room to directly dial! (That's like spotting a phone booth now.)

Breakfast was nice. Room was comfortable. Pool and pool area were clean and enjoyable.

TV didn't work. Soap and shampoo dispenser in shower and at the sink were nearly empty. Difficult to use.

I did not like the bed, or the pillows, the pillows we made out of nothing and no matter how many times you folded them in half they still flatten out to nothing, the bed was just too thin, in my opinion

I have never stayed at a Hilton chain before, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Their breakfast sausage was AMAZING!

The staff was THE BEST! Everyone was very friendly and most of all very helpful. Breakfast was on time, hot and delicious. I especially liked the 24 hr. coffee. Entire staff was wonderful, but a special shout out to Franklin.

The staff were very rude, the rooms were not that clean, pool was over loaded with chemicals it burned urs eyes just sitting in the chairs

The front desk agent Max was great. He made us feel very welcome. He brought us extra pillows within a few minutes of our asking. He had a good sense of humor and had me smiling. I was really surprised to find that he wasn't the manager. We really liked that there were rooms that had bathtubs. No one has those anymore. That was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were really nice and I liked how they were easily squeezed to get the liquid out.

The snacks they had at the front desk were too expensive. The pillows were too soft (but they felt ok when we got a couple extra).

Great price. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Good location for stop between Toronto and Chicago if you don't want to stay over in Detroit.

The entrance looks like that of a very cheap hostel. The lighting is rather unfriendly and cold througout the entire hotel.

We have stayed at Tru in other cities. We lo e the Hilton choices.

We were assigned the room furthest from the elevator. Once inside, we noticed flies buzzing inside the window. My husband killed 5 flies and one stink bug. Then we noticed the crevice between the frame and the glass was loaded with flies and stink bugs. We called the desk, explained the situation, and were told to come to the desk to get new room keys. We were given the first room off the elevator even tho I didn't mention that as a problem. My husband packed up all our bags, and I checked the room for bugs. All was fine after the switch. Well, almost. I couldn't get the internet to connect. I called the desk and suggested it was because we had changed rooms. They gave me the word Admin to use as a promotional code. Did not work. Decided to use my last name and the OLD room number. AHA! That worked. Why couldn't the desk have changed that for me? Why did they give a couple in their 70s and 80s the last room at the end of the hall instead of the vacant first room off the elevantor?
