Property was as advertised, well appointed and clean. Walkable to restaurants - had wonderful brunch at Carson's. Check in/out was easy, owner helpful and responsive. We were there over Christmas, and he even set up a tree in the living room!
Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Nice house smell in the carriage house

We had a birthday celebration with 8 family and friends staying at the house. This historic home was very cute. All the bedrooms had a bathroom, one of the bathrooms is in the back of the house and small. The house was clean & beds comfortable. It could use a deep clean, we tend to be picky, but overall, a comfortable home to take in all that Lexington has to offer.

This house has plenty of room and has a guest quarters out back. The host was very accommodating and even brought some fans over so the spouses could get better sleep. There is lots of interesting decor and an enclosed backyard space perfect for evening dinners or firepit conversations. Wish we had stayed longer.

Gregory is a great host. He was very responsive pre-arrival and during our stay. The house is very cool. A renovated beauty! Very nicely appointed, the pictures portray the house very well.
The house is located walking distance from parks, restaurants, and grocery stores. Very easy to get around town from this location. The working wood burning fire place was great to have. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Two of the three main house bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is a third full bathroom also in the main house. The upstairs garage apartment is very nice.
Will definitely try to stay here on all our trips to Lexington.

The Historic Brick Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The five of us had great sleeping spaces with extremely comfortable beds and bed linens . The home is very clean and very well stocked with everything that one would need. The cottage is beautifully decorated . The outdoor space is a welcoming gathering place. Gregory the host is responsive and easy to communicate with. We look forward to booking this lovely home again.

We had 4 couples touring the bourbon trail and this was the perfect home base for us. It was a short walk to some great restaurants and downtown, and the house itself perfectly accommodated our group. Would certainly stay here again.

This was a spectacular home and location for our multi-purpose visit. Great starting point for our Bourbon Trail adventures. Wonderful are to head out to Keeneland for a day at the track. Close to Kroger Field for the football game. And just an all-around perfect place to rest and relax with friends after a busy day in the area.
We will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Magnolia Cottage and would stay there again!!
The house is gorgeous—even lovelier than in the photos. And big!! Tons of room. We booked it partly because it offered 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We were a family group of four couples, so the bed and bath arrangement worked out perfectly. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house and a beautifully converted carriage house suite, just a few steps across the shady patio.
The home is furnished with wonderful antiques and fun, interesting pieces from the owners travels. It was built in 1890 and has the gorgeous high ceilings of that era. But it also has central A/C, which kept us super comfortable during the hot August days we were there.
We appreciated the plentiful towels and linens plus the soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and other extras that were there when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were all spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed (we were not there to cook). Everything was clean and ready for our arrival.
The location of this house is wonderful—a 5 minute drive from downtown Lexington, in a historic, shady, walkable, safe area. Also a 5 minute drive from Kroger. Plenty of street parking. Driveway very narrow.
The owner provided a ton of restaurant and other suggestions in advance of our stay, which was great. He was responsive and delightful to work with throughout our stay. Great host!

Tucked away in a charming historic neighborhood, a short walk from downtown, lies this gem of a home. The original floors and details paired with updated kitchen and bathrooms along with spacious living room addition make this home very comfortable and welcoming. So far my favorite experience in the 10 years I’ve been visiting Lexington for horse shows!

The Magnolia Cottage and Carriage House was the perfect rental for our group. This spacious accommodation provided us with plenty of gathering spaces when we chose to stay at the
house. It was also close to many of Lexington's attractions and eateries. Lots of bedrooms and very clean. I would highly recommend this rental!

House was wonderful! Only issue was the AC unit was turned off upon arrival - temperature was 86deg in house, took almost 24 hours to cool house to 72 degrees.

The check in process was awesome as Gregory walked us through the property and answered any questions. He also provided local dining recommendations - he was spot on with the ones we tried.
The property itself was clean and exactly as advertised. Can’t say enough good things about it and would stay again the next time.

We had a group of 4 couples stay in the Magnolia Cottage. It was perfect for our needs. Our group cooks in for our meals so the dinette table and dining room table were great for us. Beds were comfortable. We used the fireplace on a cold evening and the outdoor fireplace as well. Gregory was very responsive to my many questions and even brought a new coffee maker right away when ours had an issue. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a great time at this property over a weekend for a girls trip. Very clean, as described, and comfortable. Great beds and the master bathroom is very nice. Very comfortable beds. Great communication and service with host.
We did find that the house made some noises at night, which is to be expected with an older home (maybe bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise).

We come down to Lexington every year for my dads birthday to see Kentucky mens basketball play. The house was perfect, clean, had a ton of character. It was perfect for 6 of us with the carriage house. Location was perfect and Greg was extremely communicative, and kind! We will be back and can hopefully stay here again!

Myself and 5 friends stayed at this property while visiting Lexington. It had everything we needed! We didn’t have to bring anything extra. Beds are super comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. The property was less than a mile from my daughter’s sorority house and just a short drive to Rupp Arena for a basketball game. Plenty of food options around, too. Check-in and check-out was super easy. Would definitely stay again!

Outstanding home and even better host for our guys weekend on the Bourbon Trail. Gregory is a phenomenal and responsive host. The home was beautifully decorated with plenty of space and amenities for our group of 7 dudes. Took advantage of both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces for the first cold weekend of the season.
Super convenient location which allowed us to walk to downtown Lexington for dinners and a Kentucky Wildcat basketball game.
Highly recommend this VRBO home, and Greg as a host, on your next visit to horse and bourbon country. We’ll be back!

As close to perfect as it gets! We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. The house was extremely well stocked and furnished. The location was very convenient to restaurants, all within walking distance. Gregory was an excellent host and gave us tips on things to do while we were in town. His recommendation of the Keeneland Yearling sale ended up being the highlight of our trip! We hope to visit again!

The place was very nice. We absolutely loved every minute we spent there. Having the bedroom above the garage was a major plus, as we were a bunch of guys over 30 and wanted our own spaces. It was a super ideal location, near food and bars, and very easy to also travel from, as we hit a bunch of whiskey distilleries and could come back here to relax and prep for dinners and what not. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lexington
