Keith was super at communicating. We got snowed in for a day or two and he was very helpful. Everything was as advertised - enormous living room, DR and useful kitchen.

Our stay at the Stanhope cottage was richly satisfying and comfortable. Thank you, Keith and Rocio, for all the touches (art, books, the piano!) that made us feel like we were staying in a personable home.

We stayed here for a week at the start of our visit to the Pacific Northwest. Congratulations to Rocio, who decorated the apartment beautifully and made it feel like a home! Loved the artwork. Nice, quiet section of Portland. Fully equipped, we had absolutely everything we needed. Large, comfortable patio area. Don't miss the Japanese Garden or the Saturday PSU Farmers Market. Our friendly host Keith was always readily available with assistance and recommendations. Thanks especially for recommending Papa Haydn and the superb Boccone Dolce! We would happily return.

What a gorgeous place to stay. Clean and has all the amenities we needed for our stay. Will stay again if we ever come back to Portland.

Tucked away in a lovely culdesac, beautiful little house with a lovely flower laden deck, very comfy and cozy for a small family. Nice kitchen with all necessary appliances for anyone who wants to cook. Not to mention a beautiful piano if you play. Hosts were accomodating and available, even while away on vacation themselves.
Take in to account single lane driveway, so if you have your own car you'll need to coordinate parking with the host.
Also, as a family of 5 we had enough beds, but not enough storage for clothes, etc.
Overall the setting is beautiful and the house is lovely and I would highly recommend it.

Home is located on "The Hill", a desirable location which is centralized to most points of interest in the area. The house was very clean, welcoming and cozy. Great deck for morning coffee and evening refreshments. Hosts were accessible, helpful, and wonderful.

A peaceful sanctuary. Close to the happs in the city, but a lovely, quiet and spacious home with large, flower filled patio.

First the things we loved! The location was lovely and the house was spacious and clean. The hosts were responsive and kind. We loved the deck and the greenery surrounding the house. The house was also quite interesting and had a lot of character.
We did have a few small issues with our stay. The house is very inaccessible and if you have any mobility issues you will struggle getting in and out of this location. There are several stairs and uneven ground up to the door. The listing mentioned an air conditioning unit in the library. However, when we arrived the unit was not installed and we struggled with keeping the house cool throughout the day in the heatwave. Only 1 of the beds is an actual bed. The second room has a futon which was not very comfortable. You also have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. Finally, the bathroom door did not close all the way and got stuck at one point with my sister inside.
Overall, our stay was nice and as long as you are able bodied and able to get into the house and you don't mind it being a little toasty in the summer this is a wonderful location near parks and in a super safe area of Portland. The hosts were considerate and went out of their way to help us park and were very kind throughout our stay.

The city of Portland is amazing, and our stay in Portland Heights made it even better! The house is in a beautiful neighborhood in the hills. Keith, our host, provided a very nice binder of interesting information on Portland and Oregon in general. We used a lot of the information to enjoy the city and countryside alike. Keith was very kind and accommodating. The house was super cool! There was even a beautiful grand piano! I would definitely recommend a stay.

My family and I had a wonderful visit at this VRBO. It was in a good location for getting to everywhere we wanted to go. We loved the house for visiting. The sun was out and we enjoyed the deck. The kitchen, living and dining area gave us plenty of room to play cards, listen to the record player and enjoy meals. My little one was honored to get to play the grand piano and we got a warm welcome from our hosts. Keith shared a beautiful piece with us on the piano as well. Great house.

I rented this VRBO based on location and description on website. Property was spot on and owners where helpful and delightful!

The owner was very responsive and kind, but I was surprised to find that he lived upstairs. VRBO advertises that you get the whole house, but this is more of a very good AirBnB experience.
Driving to the house is not exactly easy with the very tight roads and limited parking. Sharing a one-lane driveway was not ideal, but the owner was thoughtful and communicated well.

Our stay was splendid! We were specifically looking for a place for friends and family who live in town to gather and celebrate the holidays. Keith and Rocio kindly accommodated this request and did everything possible to make our time pure joy and bliss. Keith joined us for music group one evening and it was amazing to see how genuinely and sweetly he fit into our scene. I cannot thank these two enough for providing such a sanctuary for us to recharge during the holidays and gather with loved ones.

The owners, Keith and Rocio are very friendly, helpful people who want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The Stanhope cottage is nestled among century old houses perched on hillsides in every direction you look. We were amazed by the architecture in the surrounding neighborhoods. The cottage is quiet, relaxing and very roomy, especially for two people. We would highly recommend staying here for short or long periods. We also enjoyed the Vista Springs Cafe, a neighborhood restaurant within waking distance for locals. Gary & Nani

Lovely spacious home, lots of windows, comfortable, well equipped, big deck. You’re in a beautiful forest of huge trees. All this and only 5 minutes to downtown. Glad we’re returning in 2 weeks!

The process of reserving and owners response was excellent. The condition of the home felt welcoming and accommodating.
It would have been helpful to know the logistics to arrive at the location. The streets were narrow, hilly and not able to accommodate parking or a limo service.
We were surprised by the difficulty of gaining access to property and the lighting was not adequate when arriving after 11pm.
On a positive note, the location was perfect for attending our weekend wedding at Hoyt Arboretum.

We had an excellent experience at the Stanhope cottage. The place was VERY clean. The kitchen was stocked and ready to use. The cottage has a beautiful patio too! Keith had put together an entire notebook of things to do, including local hikes, and restaurants. This was a wonderful stay, I would recommend!

Lovely alternative to hotel
It was a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Lots of room and if you want to cook you can. Yes one bathroom entered through the library/bedroom but fine if you’re family. Keith offered help/ advice if we needed.

Delightful Stay in Portland
This was our first visit to Portland and it couldn't have been better. The property was exactly as represented. The home was beautifully decorated, contained everything we needed and was in a quiet, gorgeous neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the attached elevated deck for breakfast and for evening relaxation. Our host, Keith, was very attentive and checked to ensure that we had everything that we needed. The property is very conveniently located to downtown, restaurants and a number of parks and other attractions. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Lovely perch on side of town
The property has a lovely deck, big living room, kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms are very comfortable though it’s important you all know each other since you must pass through one bedroom to get to the other. Location is in charming neighborhood about a 20 to 30 minute walk to town. Easy parking and very quiet. Great place.

This property was amazing! We would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore downtown Portland. We stayed at Stanhope Cottage for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and towering douglas fir trees this place is something special for sure. Two balcony areas provided space for outdoor meals as well as a nice morning coffee. Located in a quiet area in a very nice neighborhood. We enjoyed our drives down the hills into downtown, which only takes about 5-10 minutes or less depending on the route you take. This properties location made it super easy to see sights like the Japanese gardens and Powell's city of books. The owners were kind and just a call away if we needed them. When we didn't need them they were out of sight and out of mind. We enjoyed the trinkets around the house from their travels. Beautiful paintings around the house as well. Lovely hand painted tiles in the shower/bath. And a lovely kitchen that had everything we needed to prepare breakfast every day and dinner a few nights out of our stay. Long story short, I'd you're thinking about staying here, then you're on the right track 👌 A huge thanks to the owners for allowing us to rent this beautiful home! We wish you all the best!

Wonderful property and owners
This property is located in a fantastic part of Portland, super close to downtown and the Pearl District, and in an area that makes you feel secluded and away from it all at the same time. The owners are fantastic and were wonderful to talk to and answer any questions we had. I've already let several friends know about the place for their Portland trips!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful home for one week. Although it is only a five minute drive to downtown Portland, the neighborhood offers a quite woodsy feeling.. The home is well appointed and an exceptional value.

Lovely place to stay
We had a lovely time. The house was clean, comfortable, and well located. There was enough space for two adults, a 9-year-old, and a 2-year-old to stay and sleep in comfort. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time in Portland.

Keith and Rocio are the best hosts. I needed a last-minute rental, and they worked with me so graciously and kindly. The house is peaceful, quiet and spacious. I’ve been here before with my family, so I was familiar with the comfort. I got even more this time. Went for a beautiful hike up to Council Crest which a trailhead is just a two-minute walk from the house. I will be back again and again.

We had a great stay at Stanhope Court, Keith was very gracious with our last minute requests for laundry and possible changes to our stay. The cleaning fee is a bit of a surprise but that's my only complaint. Tony
