I wanted to give this property six stars, but five stars is the maximum allowed. The owners spent 5 years working on this property and it shows.
Attention was paid to even the smallest details. The interior is breathtaking in its simplicity and beauty. Although we had seen photos of the interior, they could not possibly do it justice. There is an astounding amount of custom mosaic tile work.
In addition, the home is both spacious and functional. The multiple skylights made the use of lights during the day unnecessary. Beds were extremely comfortable and the home was spotless. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners and found the kitchen the most well-equipped of any place we have ever rented.

The SF hobbit house was absolutely beautiful. The details in the interior design alone are incredible (mosaic tile designs throughout the entire house were like works of art). The location was convenient to the Plaza and other surrounding areas. I hope to visit Santa Fe again and I would love to stay here again! The hosts were so friendly!

This was such a gorgeous home. Every time we looked around we saw something else that wowed us. Also, it's very well-equipped and clean. We were always glad to drive back to this as our base.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hobbit House! The house and fountain was even more beautiful than the photos, and it was immaculately clean upon our arrival. Shelia was incredibly welcoming and accommodating in her communication, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering both serenity and easy access to local attractions. We loved the well-equipped kitchen and the comfortable beds. Overall, our vacation was made perfect by this wonderful rental, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable experience!

The house is truly amazing and that alone might have been enough but, it was also one of the best equipped rental properties I've stayed at. Great location for exploring Santa Fe and the surrounding area. We utilized Trader Joe's nearby and cooked almost exclusively.

What a beautiful home! My friends and I were in town for a Wedding at the Four Seasons. The Hobbit House made our weekend even more magical. The home is amazing, and the pictures you see in the post do not do the craftsmanship any justice. We arrived to a gorgeous, clean home, check in was a breeze. Directions were left out, and every easy to understand. The location is great, walking distance to food and shops if necessary.
I cannot stress how magical, and uniquely beautiful this home is. The patio/backyard was like our personal Shangri-La.
I come to Santa Fe often, and when not staying with friends I plan on coming back to the Hobbit House. Thank you to our hosts, for sharing this amazing place with us!!!

I cannot say enough good things. In addition to the good location, the clean home, the clear instructions, the comfortable beds, functional kitchen and bath, and spacious eating and sitting areas, the home is an artistic masterpiece! We felt like we were living in a work of art. The photos on the website don’t begin to show the amazing artistry of this spectacular but comfortable home.

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful home full of exquisite tile mosaics, inlaid woodwork, and murals on many of the walls. No detail was left undone (even the garage is gorgeous). I kid you not!
Everything was clean and functional. Plenty of privacy and very comfortable with a large kitchen, living room, and furnished back deck with a waterfall/fountain. We appreciated the separate AC units per room as that allowed us to individualize the room temps for sleeping.
We highly recommend this spot for a getaway to Santa Fe and would have no qualms about staying again.

This house is gorgeous! My siblings (+ spouses) and I spent a week here during our visit to Santa Fe and could not have been more pleased. It was so comfortable and inviting and the artistry of the home and decor was exceptional. The design and tile work is exquisite! The owners were very responsive and the instructions they left were very clear and helpful. We loved the location (p.s. the local bakery Clafoutis, around the corner was a plus!). Easy to get to downtown and local attractions. I highly recommend this home if you plan to be in the Santa Fe area.

My two gal pals and I loved this house. From the minute we walked in we knew we were in for a treat. The house is a work of art - every time we turned around there was something else to see. The woodwork, the tile work, and the glass doors were absolutely beautiful and amazing.
We didn’t really use the kitchen except for breakfast and appetizers before we went out but it was clearly well equipped if one wanted to eat in.
Beds were comfortable and linens were nice.
The outdoor area was terrific with the waterfall, comfortable seating area and the resident chipmunks and hummingbirds.
The location is perfect. It was close to TJ’s and other shopping and it was close to restaurants. Paper Dosa was the best!!!! We were able to walk to town if we wanted (and we did).
We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The house does not disappoint. It’s even more beautiful than the photos on VRBO. Great downtown location, close to everything. A Santa Fe oasis. The backyard and patio are a peaceful retreat. The home is a whimsical sensory experience. We all enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Hobbit House.

This home is lovely, the tile work & doors throughout the home are gorgeous. The backyard was so beautiful & serene with the waterfall. The home was spotless & the owners have everything well stocked. Easy drive into downtown, loved the French bakery at end of the street. Highly recommend, hated to leave this beautiful home.

The Hobbit House is absolutely beautiful! The showers are stunning and the landscaping is a gardeners dream! We loved our stay and I think each family member said they wanted to just “stay” at least once! I highly recommend this property!

This is probably one of the most beautiful, majestic home that I have stayed at through VRBO.
My sisters and I stayed over Mother’s Day and really enjoyed the Hobbit House and the area. The home was very close to downtown Santa Fe. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The decor and art of the home was amazing!
I will definitely recommend and stay at the Hobbit House again.

This home is beautiful inside and out! Everywhere you look is a work of art: from the inlaid wood and tile on the cabinets, doors, and furniture to the painted walls, amazing bathrooms, skylights, beams, and curved corners. The landscaping in the front and back is an oasis of local color. Having the rock water fall in the backyard and vines on the fence made you feel like your own private spa. Being able to easily crank open the screened windows was a plus. The home is also well stocked with the comforts of home. We just loved it!

The Mosaic Hobbit Home has spoiled us with it’s beauty. We were sorry to have to leave each day as it is like an art gallery and cozy at the same time. Many kudos!! We hope to be able to return in the future. Sheila and Terry were gracious and welcoming hosts. Many thanks!!

This property is gorgeous. The woodworking, tile, painting and art pieces throughout are beautiful. Felt like we were staying in an art gallery. Lovely plants indoor and outdoor, great outdoor space. 25 minute walk to the plaza. Most unique house we’ve ever stayed in.

Hobbit House was better than the photos can show. The mosaic art work around the house is astonishingly beautiful; the multiple skylights keep the home bright all day without using any electricity; the curvy walls and gorgeous stained glass doors add another creative element. An important aspect for me of staying in a VRBO home is cleanliness. Hobbit House was impeccably clean. The beds are comfortable (not firm, and not like a marshmallow, but somewhere in between); the linens and towels are very nice.
The home is nicely situated within walking distance to a very impressive French bakery (less than 2 blocks - all flat terrain), and many other eateries.
Our stay stradled the end of April - beginning of May. We experienced wild weather! One day it snowed for a few hours, accumulating a couple of inches. Two days later it was sunny and in the high 70's! Pack many layers for a crazy amount of variability depending on the time of year you will visit.
My 2 friends and I had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Amazing rental property! The decor was so exquisite and well stocked with the must have items and then some ! Location was ideal for getting to so many locations. The backyard features made us feel like a zen spa atmosphere at the end of the day from hikes and so forth. We truly hope we left everything in great order and we definitely plan to stay at this hobbit house again if allowed for another Santa Fe trip. Amazing property and the owners were very approachable with any questions. Highly recommend and Thank you!

I realize I said "little hobbit house" but by no means was it little. It was the perfect size for our three couples of friends to spread out, relax and have fun. Every inch of this house is a work of art. Beautifully appointed and very comfy beds. Our 50 something backs appreciated that. Oh and robes for all six of us were a classy touch. Thank you. Perfectly located to downtown (about a mile walk) and also to our favorite breakfast place "The New Baking Company" we walked there for breakfast everyday (about 1/2 mile walk). All six of us enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much. We look forward to staying here again.

I stayed with a group of 5 for a long weekend high school "reunion" trip. This place was incredible and surpassed our needs. The house itself is beautiful, and spacious. Location was also very convenient, as nothing was more than a 5-15min drive away. I also went on a run in the morning and easily found a nice bike trail to follow. Would definitely stay again!

Can’t say enough about how wonderful this house is. My sisters and I loved sipping coffee and planning our day. The house is perfectly stocked…sheets, towels, toiletries, puzzles, games, and anything thing else could possibly need. The owners were lovely to deal with. We had the best time. I only wish my own home was as nice;)
