Close to airport, clean. Newer facility.

I chose ***specifically*** for the airport shuttle. I was arriving at 10 pm and had to depart at 5:20 for a morning flight. I did not want the hassle of more time spent on rental car return for such a short night, so I chose a hotel location close to the airport and with a shuttle, and returned the car to the airport before I checked in. The hotel was apparently understaffed on my arrival night and I had to call back three times, each with being asked to hold. I gave them 5 minutes, and called back until on the third call got a person who could dispatch the shuttle. So about 20 minutes to get a person on the line without being asked to hold. The hotel is 5 minutes from the airport and several of the taxis lined up that night refused my business. I realize its a courtesy shuttle, however sometimes a guest chooses your property because of that and while the staff was excellent, this was an unfortunate situation.

Exceptionally clean hotel, spacious room, friendly staff, comfortable beds, great location.

Everything about this hotel was a positive experience: 1) location is super convenient, as it is 5 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown San Diego. They provide a free shuttle (available upon request at anytime!). 2) the staff was courteous and prompt to accomodate any requests. 3) included breakfast was good and menu varied from day to day. 4) hotel is close to Liberty station which is a neighborhood with a variety of restaurants, cafes and markets. 5 stars!

Nice facilities, great location across the street from a park on the water. Room was comfortable.

The shuttle needs to run before 5am. There is a taxi, and technically you can walk. But staying there for an early flight isn't ideal when the shuttles aren't operating...

I really didn't like the hidden fees and charges. Like parking. I am not accustomed to paying for parking when there is a spacious parking lot at a Hampton Inn or similar. Usually parking is included. But there were also enough unexplained fees that it cost me 25-30% more than I expected after reserving the room at Booking.com.
