The location and view from the property were excellent and we were very close to Burleigh restaurants and the beach. Although there was building next door, over the weekend we stayed there it was not bothersome. The property warned us about noise from the building next door, thus our expectations were set at a certain level in terms of noise and dust. Setting expectations for a paying customer is important and leads to less dissatisfcation.... Anyway.....

We had booked a premium apartment and were under the impression it would be at least PARTLY renovated (because .... PREMIUM, and that was what the blurb said) and clean. It was renovated... in the 1980s from the look of it. In NO WAY did it even remotely resemble ANY of the pictures displayed in the booking.com blurb. The door to the ensuite was stuck initially and light switches were broken. The beds were hard and pillows lumpy. I brought up these concerns to the staff on reception and was rudely dismissed without any consideration of my concerns. (I am not expecting them to acknowledge my concerns in this review either to be honest.) "It's a premium apartment!" "It HAS been renovated recently" and I was supposed to have been impressed by the dual shower heads in the en suite bathroom - one was full of calc and the 3 cockroaches living there didn't appreciate us sharing their space.... The apartment was quite large and roomy but had an unusual smell. There was broken glassware in the kitchen and some were rather sticky... The cushions on the couch had dirt on the reverse side. I did bring these concerns up to the person at the front desk who did offer to let housekeeping go through the unit we had however we just wanted to get away from this rude person. We ended up leaving a day earlier, checked into another establishment with comfortable beds and pillows and an excellent conceirge service so our weekend away wasn't a complete loss. Ultimately I think if the apartment had been marketed as a standard apartment and had a decent clean before we arrived then the expectations would have been adjusted accordingly. It was quaint but did remind me of holidays down the coast 40 years ago. The staff at the front desk were ridiculously dismissive and rude when asked a simple question and became quite antagonistic. Not such a good look in the hospitality system.

perfect location for a family holiday, easy walking distance to everything you need. beautiful views of the mountains and ocean from the room. our room had all the essentials items and the added bonus of a kitchen & laundry. lovely staff

Bathrooms not very well designed

The apartment was lovely and a great location and the view from the room was amazing.

We were a group of four the only the thing that was not great was the single beds in the room they were so hard which was so uncomfortable if we were staying more than three nights we would have to have gone somewhere else which would of been a shame. Maybe they would be ok for children but definitely not suitable for adults.
