Our room was very small for two people, and it was impossible to not get the bathroom floor wet when showering.

Comfortable stay and very accommodating staff, when we were delayed much later than expected they were helpful and made the end of a long day smooth. Great facilities, will definitely be back for longer!

Really lovely motel in Hokitika. Near the beach and the animals on site were wonderful additions to stay. Staff were lovely.

There was no kitchenette in the room. But it was the economy room though.

Well positioned with direct access to the beach. Nice clean room with an attached outside seating area. Frendly staff, would recommend to others or use again if in the area.

We only stayed here for 1 night on our way to pick up the Tranzalpine Express from nearby Greymouth the following day. Our room was like a log cabin - cosy and small. There was a tiny shower/toilet & kitchen sink & kettle. The beds were comfy & the beach was a short walk away, though we didn't use it as it was late afternoon by the time we arrived & it was raining too.

There was nothing really wrong with our room : we're just used to more modern & luxury surroundings, so this wasn't for us I'm afraid. What made matters worse is that we didn't have a car for this part of our journey, & you really do need transport if your'e staying here as there's nothing at all in the vicinity. The town of Hokitika is a good 20-25 minute walk away & it really wasn't worth the effort when we got there.

The chalet was comfortable and spacious. The beach was very close. It was awesome to see all the animals living onsite or nearby.

Maybe the lack of privacy. There was only one working washing machine too.

My second stay here, and my partner's first - when he saw our cottage he was stoked. Short walk down the little path to the beach, spa bath, cosy and comfortable, we couldn't have asked for more for a romantic weekend away.

No complaints at all but a couple of suggestions.... we like to take our bathrobes with us when we travel, so a hook or two on the bathroom door or wall would be helpful to hang them on, and also an indoor mat just inside the sliding door would be great to put shoes on when it's raining so as to not dirty the carpet :)

Absolutely superb location. We had cabins right on the beach front . The sound of the ocean was very therapeutic . Very comfortable large beds. Great shower, everything that you could possibly want for a marvellous waterfront retreat. oh… and the the staff are magnificent. Cannot wait to go again for our third time!
