The location, excellent service, and ambiance make this an excellent choice for a place to stay in Karuizawa. The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything, and our room was very comfortable.

Except this everything is great.

it’s a short walk to the main commercial street in Karuizawa but also feels secluded and peaceful. we left early in the morning and the kitchen prepared sandwiches for our trip!

The location was great, surrounded by forests that made walks so pleasant. The French cuisine was pretty good too, staff were so attentive and genuinely helpful in every way.
The beds were not confortable, the mattresses need to be replaced, as the support is poor.

The location is perfect to explore major sightseeings in Karuizawa. The staff are well-trained and very polite. This classic cute hotel represents Karuizawa well. Some guests might find it old and rundown, but I think it’s charming. Moreover, it’s spotless clean. Everyone in the hotel makes sure they deliver 5-star experience to the guests.
