Felt a little impersonal with the way the wine, rusks and coffee was set out. More like a hotel than a self-catering home.

It was furnished to a very high standard and the garden & pool area were both pristine & charming

Cleanliness and decor

It’s literally on the main road with trucks and construction vehicle constantly passing by between 7am and 5pm. Extremely noisy. On check- in we were told that we only booked for 3 and we were 4 in the family 2 adults and 2 children. Were asked to pay additional R1500. I checked booking and we did confirm for 4 which was checked and also confirmed by the staff member and apologies offered. If this was not questioned then we would have been charged unnecessarily. There’s are bottles of wine left in the wine rack. Being Franschhoek - we expected that this was complimentary- not the case. Luckily we only had one of the 5 bottles. On check out were told that will be charged R150 for the bottle consumed. This is a R60 bottle of wine from down the road. Not a good touch. Rather have it clearly marked with the pricing then guests would know to rather get it from down the road.

A very spacious apartment. The main room is huge, with a partial view of the mountain from the very comfortable king bed. Would love to own an apartment like this - I would be there all the time.
