Ten hotel właściwie przeszedł moje oczekiwania

Nous avons adoré le séjour à Dambulla. La chambre était propre, bien aménagée et il y a la clim. L’hôte est d’une gentillesse sans nom, aux petits soins et à l’écoute. Les petits déjeuner sont également très bons. Je ne peux que recommander.

This was the best guesthouse we stayed in during our 4 week trip...spotlessly clean, amazing breakfast, comfortable bed, lovely family that offered help with planning our trip, a lift in his tuk tuk and also was so interesting to talk to and find out more about life in Sri Lanka. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for having us :)

This place deserves a 20 out of 10, if that was possible. From being greeted upon arrival with a fresh juice until being bid farewell by the incredibly friendly and professional owner everything was just perfect. Clean big room with all amenities even including a hairdryer. Cozy outdoor seating area. And the most lavish breakfast we were offered on our trip so far. Thank you so much for an exceptional stay and good luck and prosperity and continued success for your future.

Ubytování nás ohromilo. Pokoje vypadají opravdu úžasně a moderně. Čistota je zde na prvním místě, taktéž i spokojenost hostů. Majitel nám zařídil transport z letiště a vstal kvůli nám ve 4 ráno. Snídaně jsou plnohodnotné a dalo nám zabrat je sníst. Pan majitel má vlastní tuk tuk a není pro něj problém vás kamkoliv transportovat. Dal nám spousty tipů a rad(co navštívit, kde se najíst a podobně). Pokud budeme znovu v Dambulle, tak rozhodně zvolíme tohle ubytování.

Top Ausstattung, uns hatte es an nichts gefehlt, wir hatten sogar einen Föhn Super sauber, schönste und sauberste Unterkunft unserer ganzen Sri Lanka Reise bisher Sehr lieber und hilfsbereiter Host, wir bekamen ein leckeres, großes Frühstück, ein Willkommensgetränk und er kann einem helfen Ausflüge zu organisieren ohne dass er etwas aufschwatzen will Er hat uns sogar am Ende zur Busstation gebracht Wir wären am liebsten länger geblieben, doch leider war schon alles ausgebucht, so dass wir nicht spontan verlängern konnten Wir würden auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen :)

Überaus netter Gastgeber mit hilfreichen Infos zur Umgebung, etc. Ansprechende Zommer, gross. Unser Highlight war das Frühstück: abwechslungsreich und lecker. Und wie bereits erwähnt, toller Gastgeber!

Everything, excellent host, room and breakfast!

Athula’s property is fantastic, it is close to the main road, but far enough away that you can hear the sounds of the jungle from your room. I very much enjoyed being welcomed with a glass of fresh mango juice from Athula’s mango tree. Athula was remarkably helpful and was able to organise drivers and excursions for me at short notice and at a vary reasonable cost, compared to online alternatives.

Breakfast was amazing, so was the owner. It was pleasure to meet them!

There is nothing specific for the hotel but at night, hotel road is completely dark so it’s a bit scary :)

Unbelievably accommodating and friendly staff, the place is super clean, nicely located in a quiet and green spot a short walk from Dambulla town. Also has great hot water in the showers and breakfast was good!

Unser Aufenthalt war rundum gelungen! Der Service und das Personal waren alle sehr zuvorkommend und super hilfsbereit auch wenn es um die Organisation von Ausflügen und Fahrern ging. Wir wurden ebenfalls kostenlos in die Stadt zum Abendessen und zum Höhlentempel gebracht. Die Unterkunft liegt nicht an der Hauptstraße, sondern in einer kleinen ruhigen Nebenstraße. Somit ist es ruhig aber man ist auch schnell in ca 5 min fußläufig am Supermarkt und viele Restaurants zum Essen. Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen.

The owner was nice and very friendly, and the accommodations is clean and tidy. Generous breakfast with variety of food. I highly recommend this place.

Athula and his family are absolutely wonderful hosts. Athula takes his role as a host seriously and puts so much time and effort into ensuring his guests have an exceptional experience. One example is that we had a power outage (across the whole village) and Athula promptly got on the phone to the electricity authority to arrange for the power to be reconnected, and it was sorted within half an hour or so! He also drove me to and from town for a very reasonable rate (and initially refused payment for my last trip to the bus station until I insisted). The property is in a peaceful part of town — a little bit of a walk from the city centre but manageable. The room was impeccably clean and Athula’s family put a lot of thought into preparing the room, particularly with small (but appreciated!) details — towels folded into beautiful designs, a water bottle, etc. The air conditioning was much appreciated in Dambulla’s heat, too! The breakfast was super generous (far too much food for me!) and lovely. Athula also arranged a wonderful tuk tuk driver to take me to Sigiriya for sunrise, and on the way back the driver took me to a several other fantastic viewpoints — I really recommend the driver, he’s a lovely and reliable guy. Honestly, this place is incredible value for money and Athula is an exceptional host. I can’t recommend Green Village highly enough!

My only suggestion is to encourage the tuk tuk driver whom the guesthouse uses to be transparent about the expectation that visitors to the herbal medicine garden en route from Sigiriya to Dambulla will purchase herbal medicines from the pharmacy there. (I was assured it was a free experience but was pressured by the pharmacy staff to buy products.)

The host of this small family run hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming. Rooms are new, spacious and clean. Breakfast was superb. Best value for money ever.

The host and his uncle were so nice and helpful with everything. We were sad to leave.

Our host was super nice and amazing. He brought us to several places with his tuktuk and gave us many recommendations. All in all, we had a really great time at The Green Village.

Unfortunately, the rooster next door was quite loud ;)

Mr. Atula is a person that trying to give his best to make his guests comfortable. We were happy and really thank him. And the breakfast is the best as our experience in Sri Lanka.

The host was very friendly and helped us a lot! He showed the whole area and had lots of recommendations for us. The breakfast was amazing! The room was also very clean and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Athulo is the perfect host. The reviews I read were spot on. Super nice guy with a lovely family. Does his best to make the most of your stay. Drops you in town and picks you up if you wish. I had an upstairs room with a small balcony which was great. Room was very clean and practical. AC was super and overall for the price its excellent. I'm a light sleeper so I always bring ear plugs which were needed as there are street dogs sometimes barking and there are at least two cockerels nearby who will start making their noises from about 330pm. As other reviews have said, breakfast is great. Way too much too eat. Virtually all home made and he changes it each day. Considering the price its bonkers. However, very pleasant. There's a communal fridge / freezer for use and a microwave if you need it. Also a water dispenser to replenish your water bottles as needed. Athulo was fantastic at helping me plan my visits. He dropped me off at Dambulla caves and organised an excellent driver / jeep to go to Minneriya National Park. He also took me via his Tuk Tuk to Sigariya rock for a very fair price and arranged a guide (Neil) who was worth every cent of the $20 he charged. (Over 3 hours we were together). On my last evening he took me to Sankassapura Senasanaya Anakatawa buddhist temple to watch sunset. Fantastic views on a beautiful evening. Again for a very small price. As I live in Sri Lanka I'll stay again and use it as a base for visiting other places. There's a Cargills a few minutes walk away which is super handy and once you get your bearings its not far a walk into town. He recommends Benthota Bake House for food which I used twice. Both times were very good. Downstairs is fans and upstairs is AC, Same food, I preferred downstairs as the staff were great. Also use Manj bar further up the street. Straight forward but great service and ridiculously low prices. The lowest I've paid anyhwere for a bottle of Lion which is served to you.

We loved our stay in Greenvillage. The room was very clean and we even had a warm shower. The family was super friendly and made a different delicious breakfast every day. The owner helped us with finding the right drivers to do activities in the nearby villages, always at the right rate.

Our last driver which he recommeded was not a success, which is unfortunately. Other than that, we had an amazing stay!
