Location was excellent except for Friday night music from the nearby restaurant and party noise after that.

There were no instructions on how to use some facilities, eg garbage disposal, stove and kitchen under cupboard lighting. However Leonard did respond promptly to our queries. The pillows on the beds were in unacceptable condition and there were no spare cases for the extra pillows. The lower bunk was not properly made up. The website was misleading in that it states the property has a flat screen television with cable channels but this was not the case. We were told we needed to use our own Netflix login. After discussion Leonard set it up with his login. The website also mentioned a washing machine , with no mention of costs, however we were informed that we were supposed to pay. Again after discussion Leonard agreed to waive the fee. Having rented many apartments in all parts of Europe we have never encountered TV and washing arrangements like this before. Perhaps the website should be changed to make these arrangements perfectly clear.

Leonard was communicating very well with us before we even arrived. He went beyond what we expected to make our stay comfortable and feel welcome in his apartment. The apartment itself is located on the edge of Valetta. So if you are looking for a place that is close to the city and the bus terminal, this is the perfect apartment.

The area that the apartment is located in, is not the most quiet place in Valetta. Or maybe it is just the neighbors. In any case I had to use ear plugs. But then I am easily woken up by noise.

This is a quite large, well-equipped apartment in a 100-year old house. Despite being in the heart of Valetta (10 minutes walk to everywhere) it's also very quiet in the night. As we were here in December, we were a little concerned about the heating (which is sufficient when using the air conditioner).

The apartment is the perfect location for a stay in Valletta, and the owner, Leonard, was the perfect host.

Melita was a roomy apartment, with a huge and comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space. The many restaurants and bars of Valletta's historic centre are close by, yet there is very little noise at night - this is an unusual combination. Having said that, there is always some early morning noise (builders nearby, car horns etc) so ear plugs are still a good idea. The owner was great, and happy to help with any information that we needed. Very close to the bus station, from which you can easily and cheaply reach the entire island - no need to hire a car!

Our host was able to arrange transportation from the airport for us, as we had a late arrival. Our driver had the keys to the apartment and was able to check us in. Wonderful!

First night was a little difficult to sleep, as windows had been shut and no fans had been running. The apartment does not have air conditioning, so it was quite hot and stuffy.
