I liked the location

View around the lodge is great, dinner and breakfast are delicious with fare price. Saw a mama moose with a cub hanging around the lodge during breakfast.

Room is a little bit small, but frankly it's not a big issue since this is a lodge

the room description in Booking.com is bit confusion. I thought that each cabin has two rooms with two beds in each room. It turns out that it only have one Queen bed in each room. I have few no-couple friends travel with me. We found ourself short of beds when we arrived, and the hotel was sold out. We are forced to find another room in nearby lodge. It could be avoid if there is a clear room layout.

I cannot say the lodge is bad, but there are many things to improve: clearness (the room wasn't cleaned), worn mattresses, no noise cancellation and troubles with hot water pressure. Do not set your expectations high, then it won't disappoint you.

The location and property is absolutely beautiful! The view of the mountains is fantastic, and there’s a nice little trail. The girl who checked us in was amazing and super nice, and helpful.

The room was very, very dirty. Literally not cleaned. Hair all over the shower, toilet, sink, and bathroom floor. There was toothpaste in the sink and on the faucet. The toilet had poop on the lid, and was covered in hair. It clearly was not cleaned between guests. We asked if we could get supplies and they sent a housekeeper to reclean it so they solved the problem, but still concerned about if we’re sleeping in clean sheets tonight.. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and only ever needed to leave one other time due to cleanliness issues; unfortunately for this one we couldn’t leave because there’s no where else to go. Nothing was offered to us to make up for it either which is pretty shocking. The room also has a very odd odor and we had to turn the heat all the way up, but leave the windows totally open because it smells so bad. Every time we had a question we had to literally interrupt staff who would sit and talk to each other while we would wander around confused because there’s no “front desk.” At one point after standing a couple feet away staring waiting for them to ask us if we needed something we had to just jump into a conversation to ask about dinner and they told us it was an hour later than what the email told us it would be. Zero communication, zero customer service, zero cleanliness. I understand it’s a little ranch style place, but for what you pay it should cost half the price. Would not recommend staying here though the location is wonderful. Definitely not worth it and regretting my decision.

What a fantastic place to come with friends or to host an event! We loved the on-site restaurant, and walked around the property to see the planes. We got in at night just in time to use the hot tub, which was an added bonus. The room we stayed in was quite old-fashioned with a very simple bathroom, but everything was functioning. If you have the budget, perhaps look into upgraded rooms at this property. Communication was excellent, and staff were very friendly!

I thought the room would be a bit nicer because of the price point, but maybe the nightly rates for more remote lodges are all on the higher end.

The lodge is in a stunning location with exceptional views of the high mountain range. They have a nice restaurant with a heated terrace.

At glacier lodge, the room was smell bad, small, too tight, no wifi, no communication about meal, breakfast start at 9 am, we left the properties at 8 am without any meal.

The staff, lodge, restaurant and grounds are absolutely wonderful.

The rooms in the bunk house are dated, small and run down. Location is remote.

In my opinion, the lodge is located on the land that had the best views in the whole town! The dining room was decorated "classy" with table linens. Coffee, tea, hot water were available for guests all day. The room was spacious and can fit a small family of three. There were a queen and a full size beds with a private bathroom. You must stay here if you're in Sutton! I want to give a shout out to Steve, our host. Steve was super friendly! He chatted with us and made sure we had everything we needed. He made us felt at home :)

Breakfast and dinner time were so limited. Breakfast was served at 7 am and dinner at 7 pm, that's it. If you're not hungry you're screwed because there isn't any store nor restaurant nearby. We had to go to, the only lodge nearby, Sheep Mountain Lodge (1.5 miles away) to eat because we weren't hungry at 7pm. Sheep Mountain served dinner until 8pm. They had a range of time from 5pm - 8pm for dinner.

Our stay here was great from the time Steve met us and showed us to our cabin until Kate made our delicious breakfast. CJ was very welcoming at the bar and all of the young gentlemen working there were attentive and friendly. The facilities were spotless and well maintained. Near the glacier it was a great stop between Valdez and Girwood . Our only regret was that we couldn’t get there in time for dinner.

Hiking, jacuzzi, staff...

Friendly staff, beautiful views, clean and cozy accommodations. The chef cooks up some of the best meals you can possibly have. Lisa was a gracious host and helped us with anything we needed.
