that we gotthe deposit back and the worker we talked to was polite and helpful even if his English was limited
the manager's attitude was completely unacceptable, first afteri asked him three times for the.exact location or address he gave us just.the street number and later the google location of the upscale winter palace Hotel (200 metres North). our driver had problems withthe police which resulted in.us coming 30 minutes later than arranged originally planned, i.informed the manager via WhatsApp 40 minutes before hand of us arriving 30 minutes lafer (we've been using it since the beginning of our communication), we arriveto.the location given by the.manager and the securityguards and managers (4 people) say they havenever heard.of that apartment, nobody answers tje.phone for 20 minutes, tried 8 times, also tried WhatsApp, called and sent messages, security guard said we're probably getting scammed. after that we finally established contact and 10-15 minutes later the worker.comes to.pick us up (the “brother”). 35 minutes wasted in.frustration. the.worker saw me, my wife, 5 year old son, 65 and 68 year old parents on the street talking to two Chinese girls who had serious issue with their driver and reported thatto he.manager who.automatically assumed there will be 7 of us sharing three beds to save money. we walkin to he apartmentand see signs sayingthatwe needto.pay extra for electricity, pay extra for the internet, there's one 1cm thick roll of toiletpaperin the apartment so we assumed thatwillbe chargedextratoo, internet doesn'twork, and the workertellsme there's 50 dollars deposit (I've never heard of this practice on.booking.com or airbnb before and we travel abroad 3 times a year), almost the equivalentof a.two night's stay, we just camefrom 3* beachfront hotel in.Alexandra where we paid the same but here's no.swimmingpool, no beach.and no.allyou caneat buffet, rooms are small, the second floor windows don't shut properly, there's so.much noise all thetime, nobody.

Good central location for East Bank.
Reasonable value for money.
Very attentive owner and local honest manager, and made to feel very welcome.
Very clean.
Slept well in the twin room.
Nicely tiled bathroom.
The double room at the front would benefit from double glazing noise reduction.

The best thing is the location right in the heart of the city so you can walk to most attractions. The apartment had been well prepared so it looked good on arrival. Air-conditioning in all main rooms. Helpful owner, who lives in Germany, communicates readily. Local agent there to open up and help.
No mention under property’s policies that you have to pay for electricity. Metre readings taken at start and on leaving. Time spent at end disputing bill on the telephone with the person responsible for collecting payments. He tried to charge a much higher price per unit than the official rate.
One of the single beds appears to have bed bugs which bite exposed skin.
5.0
Centrally located, has easy access to most places. Kitchen is good and well equipped.
Since the apartment is centrally located, it is too noisy even at 12 o clock in the night.
WiFi connectivity in the rooms is very poor.
I was okay with all of this, but the fact that we have to pay for electricity usage is an absolute rip-off.
This was nowhere mentioned during the booking process. I agreed to pay and checked the meter reading when we checked in and when we checked out. We have used 10 units(this is confirmed by the caretaker as well) of power. This will hardly cost 10 Egyption pounds. But I was asked to pay 100 Egyption pounds. It is not about the money, It is about getting cheated , which is annoying.

The apartment is compact but has everything you need, including washing machine and coffee machine. The host arranged for someone to meet us who was very responsive.

The apartment in Luxor was tastefully and modernly furnished and it was clean.
Very nice were the Egyptian paintings on the front door.
Bananas and water were offered as welcome.
It is located near the Nile Promenade and you can reach boats and good restaurants very fast.
A friendly Egyptian named Mostafa gave us the code for the wifi and offered his help for nearly everything.
The whole apartment was cool due to Egyptian winter. But Mostafa provided us with 2 radiant heaters, which was sufficient.
He also met us at at our departure even early in the morning.
It was easy to get a taxi to Luxor airport, where a friend of Mostafa helped us at the check-in.
I recommend parking 1 block down the street towards the police control station.
The only main disadvantage: one sleeping room facing the street is very noisy till midnight. But good earplugs helped us.
The wifi was very poor.

good location, ideal for shops and in walking distance of Aboudi’s coffee shop.
comfortable and well kept.
had everything we needed.
front bedroom window didn’t close properly so it was noisy at night but this didn’t bother us.
could do with a few few more cooking pots.
1.0
Hot, stuffy apartment on a noisy street (not "Soundproof" as claimed) whose amenity list read like a full-service luxury resort. Only place we've ever encountered that wanted to charge us for electricity usage--and didn't let us know until we got there. We did not stay. Got a taxi to the nearby Steigenberger hotel, which was truly a resort, clean and quiet with loads of amenities including an onsite restaurant that made meals to order. Despite my detailed account of misleading and unethical bait-and-switch advertising, Customer Service declined to grant us a refund or get the property to alter its list of amenities, which makes us leery of trusting other Booking.com listings.

Guesthouse owner Mustafa was attentive and friendly. Nice living room space to chill and two separate rooms. On a busy street, so wear ear plugs at night. Great location in Luxor with all major sites within close walking distance. Great driver provided too for showing us around West Bank area.
I have never had to pay extra for electricity. Was less than $2 for electricity though so not a big deal. A bit noisy but manageable and expected for busy downtown area.

Right in the heart of Luxor, with everything you need close at hand. Rear entrance to Winter Palace hotel just across the road. Compact, first floor apartment. Everything worked, including high quality air conditioning unit and hot water for showers. Mustafa, the contact person, was ideal - always quick to respond and helpful if called upon, but in no way intrusive. He was genuine about doing a good job. Excellent broadband and lots of TV channels.
The downside of a central location like this is noise from the street below but the twin-bedded room faced the opposite direction and was quieter. Kitchen units, sink and fridge showing their age though I understand they are due to be replaced fairly soon. The electricity you use during your stay has to be paid for. Metre readings are transparent.

Great location. Near Salah Al-Deen Square. 8 minis walk to the railway station. 10 mins walk to Luxor temple. Large and clean room, full facility, friendly owner.
The location marked on Booking or Google Maps is wrong.
Coordinate should like (25.694914, 32.638823).
Confirm the address with the owner before you go.
The freezer is very cold. Don't put drinks in it for a long time, or ice will surprise you.

Pick up from the train station was on time and we reached the flat after a short walk. Check-in went smoothly. The flat was as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and well equipped. All the amenities I needed were available. And WiFi was working very well.
Communication with flat owner and local caretaker was fast and easy.
Check-out was also very easy and on time.
It's a very good place and I would absolutely stay here again.

I had an excellent stay in this apartment. It’s conveniently located in the town centre of Luxor. The apartment was clean, well equipped and spacious. There was everything available that I needed. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room. The bed was comfortable and the bed linens were clean.
I had easy communication with the owner who answered all my questions and concerns. The caretaker was also polite and punctual.
As an overall evaluation I can only give the maximum score for this apartment.

The place is really nice and we had late check-out, which was really forthcoming of them.
It was really cold in the rooms.

The location is really good, very central and close to shops, restaurants, the Luxor Museo it is at walking distance. The train and bus station are very close as well.
The flat it's big enough for 4 people and the rooms are big and cozy.
It was a good choice for us, for the 3 days wbich we spent in Luxor.
The flat it's Ok, but the person who manage the flat from Luxor should pay a bit more atention to cleaning details.
Any ways, the landlord was really nice and he called them to come and fix everything.
The internet doesn't work !
