Beautiful! Exceeded our expectations in almost every way!
There is no food on the property on Sunday evenings. We didn’t have a car as we had been riding trains and taxis on our extended trip and therefore we didn’t have any options for dinner. It is almost a must to have a car if staying at the property for very long. We got a taxi to drop us off and to pick us up from property just fine, but we took a taxi into Florence for the day and trying to find a ride back was almost impossible.

it was quiet, luxury. very helpful staff
as expected it was in the countryside. If you were not willing to drive to drive to other local restaurants you would have been at a loss (the restaurant on-site was closed the first night we stayed). However this wasn’t an issue for us during our stay.

Location, setup, attention to details, everything without flaws. The scenery is incredible, wine tour also very interesting and good wines. The restaurant one of the best in the area.

the property grounds (pool, vineyards, castle furniture), management staff - (Barbara was lovely!), the incredible views (stone walls covered in roses, perfectly maintained gardens), the food was delicious, the service at the restaurant was impeccable, the history of the castle and the wine tours were fascinating
You could hear other guests in the next room.
Wi-Fi was hit or miss - back in the 1400’s, castle walls weren’t built for Wi-Fi 😆

The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the view is amazing and the pastoral feeling in and around the castell is very special.
The sunsets are magical and very romantic, I would recommend this to any couple that wants to get away from the craziness of the city.

amazing pool, stunning views, so much history, lovely helpful staff
our room was right next to reception, it didn’t feel private and could be very noisy. on the plus side there are so many options to hang out around the property it wasn’t the end of the world

Castello Di Gabbiano is magical. We first visited the property 5-yrs ago for a special occasion as a family. We loved the property so much that we felt it would be the perfect backdrop to host dear friends for my wife's milestone birthday. It was lovely to see the upgrades to the property since our first stay. The modification to the pool and its surrounding areas serves as a complementary juxtaposition to the valleys in the distance. We spent most of our time there drinking in the views. We are looking forward to our stay next summer.
Initially, we found the intermittent wifi service frustrating. However, toward the end, the switch-off was appreciated. Castello Di Gabbiano is taking extraordinary measures to improve its service.

The location if unbelievable. The view over the Tuscan hills is gorgeous, the garden, the pool, the castle, everything is beautiful. Plus the restaurant is amazing. And you get to do wine tasting on the premises.

This hotel location is absolutely spectacular. I was in awe of our surroundings and spent so much time walking the grounds and exploring - especially during sunrise and sunset hours. Absolutely gorgeous visiting in June! We stayed in the tower - which is three-storeys (Rosa suite) - and I initially had a few reservations about this because of the reviews I’d read but honestly absolutely loved it. It felt authentic, had a nicely equipped bathroom, and study area, really good natural light and nice high ceilings. The food at the restaurant as well was absolutely divine - probably the best meals we had during this trip to Italy. Make sure when you get there to spend some time at the pool listening to music, reading a book, enjoying a dip or even staring out into the fields. Loved the cute dome hedge entrance getting to the pool - felt very ‘Alice in Wonderland’-esque. We spent a fair amount of time in the lobby area as well which was really nice, reading. Thought the welcome wine bottle in the room was a nice touch too.
Not exactly the property per se, but transportation is a challenge. You’re a bit stranded if you don’t have a car - taxis are quite expensive and dependent on availability. We pretty much ate everyday at the castle restaurant everyday because of this - not complaining as the food was good (a bit pricey for daily meals though). On our way out with the taxi, we saw a little town and pizzeria etc about 20 mins walking distance, and wouldnt have minded walking down there and exploring had we known - but were told there was nothing nearby (needed taxis).
I was a bit disappointed with the wine tasting experience to be honest as the guide was referencing notes on the bottle etc when asked about the details of one of the wines, and it wasn’t as experiential as many other wine tastings we’d been to. I’d suggest to instead try the wines in the restaurant - the staff there are quite knowledgeable and it’s a much better experience.

The bed was very comfortable. They so nice to change our room, due to problems with my knees and having to climb the stairs. Very peaceful, quiet, the pool is extremely large with the most beautiful view of the wine country. If you want peaceful and restful Bed and Breakfast this is the place.
Would of liked to be advice in advance that there’s only one restaurant and you need to make reservations ahead of time. They were able to accommodate us the first night, but the rest of the 3 days, we were on our own. The restaurant is magnificent. One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten through out our trip,
