The location was unbeatable and an excellent start to a Tokyo visit. The city is known for its hectic pace and massive scale, and the Asakusa area -while busy- still has many streets and shops with a neighborhood feel to them. Senso-ji temple, Kaminarimon gate, and Nakamise-dori Street are just steps away. The view over Sumida City and the Skytree from the room is a fantastic treat at any time of the day and with any weather. The breakfast and dinner experiences were superb, with a wide variety of treats in both Western and Japanese kitchens. The expansive windows in the dining rooms were also part of the treat, with beautiful morning and evening views from the top floors. The staff was exceptional, accommodating, and kind at all times, 10/10 for them.
The building is old, and it shows in specific details. The ventilation system had a particular smell that made the room slightly unpleasant as you walked in. We had to ask for a special key to open the -very high- window and ventilate every evening. The famous Japanese toilets are usually spotless, but in this case, some of the gadgets within the machine had moldy corners. It's probably time for a renewal. While these details didn't spoil the overall experience, they took points away from what could be a perfect intro to Japan's capital city.

It was a very bad experience! We booked via booking a triple room but it was not a triple room it was a double room. And even booking it the hotel don’t care ! They offered to put on a double room an extra bed :-( could you imagine a family in a double room with an extra bed? Guess what’s?

Friendly and helpful staff, great location and restaurants, quiet, swimming pool and laundry. I could see Mount Fuji on clear days from my 21st floor room!
Very exciting. Near the Sky Tree, too. There is even a bakery and sweets shop.

The convenience of airport limousine service to the airport. The proximity of Asakusa nearby was awesome for food and sights. The ease of checking out.
As a family, we were expecting to have a double/queen bed instead of 2 single beds but they were unable to cater for this. They manage to cater a baby bed for us though. We didn't realize we book a room that was a smoking room and when we ask the front desk to change it, we were unable to do it. The sheets look fine but we found weird stuff on it after further checks. Our kid developed bed bug lookalike scars after our stay. There was a horrendous smell from our toilet which the manager single handedly clean it himself as he was unable to change the room for us. Kudos to him. Both of our rooms were very stuffy and the air was a little stale. The air purifier did not really help. The carpet felt dusty and the walls were dirty.

The view and most of the staff are helpful
Out dated rooms. Staff argued with me over a session of swimming and looked back 10 days on the cameras to see if i paid. Items went missing out of room and they didnt want to know. Daily charge added on at the end of your stay.

2 hours to check in, quite dirty, only 1 towel provided in double room occupied and paid for by 2 people, terrible breakfast

We stay at the Asakusa View Hotel for the first time in 2019 and loved it so much we decided to come back. The one thing that stood out for us, was the breakfast buffet which was still incredibly (even 4 years later). The simply selection of different foods (western and Asian) is just incredibly.
Now, this was our second stay at the hotel, however, we won't be coming back again.
Way too overpriced for the size of the rooms, the service, and the overall upkeep.
It took one hour to check us into our room. We had booked a city view and got one with a Skytree view. The room also was tiny (and that's saying a lot as we've seen our fair share of small Japanese hotel rooms). A long totally useless corridor with a small desk, on which we had to store one of our suitcases as there was no space anywhere else. Whoever did the layout of that room should be punished.
Everything looked dated and kind of dirty (wallpaper peeling off the walls, furniture scratched and dirty, dust on the bed frame, carpeting stained, etc.).
You also pay an additional fee for your keycards once you check out and for the use of the pool (which is just brazen and way too expensive).

The room was a reasonable size for Tokyo, and the area has good attractions.
The service desk staff did not have a service mindset, and a few times appeared to ignore us (eg checkin, checkout) waiting, just attending to their computers while there was nobody else about.
The pool, which features in the hotel advertising, is not available to guests without a further payment of around $30,000JPY per day (not sure but I think it was limited to an hour or so a day).
The gym is not available to guests at all, but is a membership only facility.

usually good view unless bad weather then it's useless because the tower is completely in the clouds. great staff and fast room service. great location.
the bed is extremely hard, basically no mattress and sleeping directly on a spring bed. the carpets had some questionable stains in them as with the shower curtains.

it was dated, and the room had mold smell… old building like. A little too stuffy. their sister hotel across the street is fair superior for almost half the price.

In the room there were stains and blood on the beds and couches, ripped and worn furniture, hairs. Metal bed springs were pokey in the back and uncomfortable to sleep on. Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone, especially when considering the price.
I asked to change rooms since my initial one was filthy, and between multiple staff members they couldn’t decide whether to charge me or not— poor internal and customer communication. Ended up being charged extra.
Pool staff and bar staff were also very rude to foreigners.
I cannot deny the view was lovely, however I regret staying here.

Amazing buffet breakfast, clean and quiet, nice views of the Sky Tower, friendly staff. Clean rooms with great water pressure and hot water
Room was accurate to pictures, family of four in four single beds that felt a little like a dorm. Lots of pictures of the pool but found out using it would cost extra and pool no kids allowed

The view was great, the room was comfortable, and the location was good.
We wish there was a public bath or an upgraded bathroom with separate tub and shower. The hotel seemed a little overpriced for the value we received.

The only good thing was the view when you pay extra for a Skytree View-Room.
The whole experience was horrible when we think of a 4 star hotel - there were barely any power outlets in the room - and absolutely none next or close to the bed? The windows were dirty, and there was dust in alot of the parts of the room. An old TV with only japanese channels (we're in 2023, a smart TV is nothing new) and extra charged the "quiet room" - well, you could hear everything that was happening on the floor.
The bath was smaller than in our 3 star hotel were in right now. But the worst part was that when we asked the staff about the parking costs, they told us it's 2.000Yen for a day (at least that's what we understood, cause the staff barely knows english - which is ridiculous again when we talk about a 4 star hotel) and we ended up paying 14.400 Yen for around 14 hours of parking overnight. Apparently you get a ticket from them, but no one told us that. The swimming area and fitness center were not accessible because we had some small tattoos. And the kingsize bed was still small for someone like me who is 1.88m tall.
Overall, the experience was really bad, I'm still trying to figure out why we were paying 160€ per night. Every 3 star hotel gives you a better experience.
