The location allowed us to make the most of the two days we had in the lakes area. The staff were very helpful with luggage transfers. The buffet breakfast was lovely. Very high quality food and the views from the dining area were breathtaking.

Some things were old and tired and needed refurbishing. The towels were threadbare. The bathroom needs a makeover and the room while spacious is looking tired. We were on the lowest floor so did not achieve the lake views we would have liked but the autumn leaves were lovely to look out on. The refrigerator did not work. The staff advised they turn off the fridge when the room is not in use but we could not get it to work our full stay.

Great hotel. Beautiful room with private onsen and glorious view of the lake. We booked this hotel for a view of mount Fuji (to watch hikers travel up in the night after our own hike) but our room did not have view of the mountain.. Website misleading in that respect. Staff very helpful and tried their best to help with dietary requirements at breakfast.

Food was not labelled for dietary requirements/allergies. No view of Fuji from room.

The location is great, right in front of a beautiful lake. The hotel is pretty and at least our room (with private hot spring) was very beautiful, clean and had a great view.

The hotel calls itself a "people-friendly hotel". However, you'll be discriminated if you have tattoos (even small ones). You won't be able to use the pool or the public hot springs despide having to pay the same price as everyone else. Most hotels in Japan already got rid of such outdated rules. It's modern times and it's just not okay to judge people based on their appearance. Specially if so many guest are foreigners.

Excellent dinner and breakfast buffet with the wonderful view of Fuji mountain and the lake. Comfortable bed and fantastic traditional onsen.

Bathroom is rather small for a 4-people room. Overall, it was a good stay.

There was a great and astonishing view of Mt.Fuji with lots of delicious food for breakfast and dinner.

Service was excellent. Right from the start when we arrived, there were staff to assist us with our bags and check in, there was an assigned parking lot, and we were ushered to rest at the lounge while the check in was in progress. By the time we got to our room, our bags were already there waiting for us. We had booked a room with the lake view and it was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and we were even provided with a humidifier in the room just in case. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, food is great but gets repetitive if you stay for a couple of days.

While the food was great, we found that the menu repeated daily. Would have appreciated more variety since we stayed for a few days!

The hotel staff and facilities are great. We love our stay there. The japanese style room, private bath, and the panoramic view from the room are amazing, i cannot get away from looking outside the window:) The dinner and breakfast are really great! They provide the best wagyu steak there. I wish to go back there again.
