It was an anticlimax to be honest
Last time there was drilling and kept me awake all night, this time the tv remote didn’t work and it took an hour to resolve 3 phone calls later it was finally resolved.

Checkin was terrible! Took 40mins to sort out our 8 rooms. They had mixed all our information up and had 1 guest on 3 rooms even though we have provided the information correctly twice. To do it again at Checkout after a long drive was terrible
Then we used Express Checkout and was charged $85, and I still have no idea why! Have enquired twice and no response.

Very good value for money, particularly against other hotels in Auckland. Spacious rooms and access to many facilities onsite (particularly where it's not in the heart of the city). The hotel provides good comfort - where we only needed 1 nights' accommodation. Staff were friendly.
Room and bathroom could have been cleaner. Some of the facilities seemed a bit tired for a 5* and isn't a luxury hotel, but didn't bother us where our stay was short. They are such a big hotel that wait times for simple things took a long time. We waited 1.5 hours to get a plug for the bath to bathe our baby. Another hour to get a portable cot (despite this being on our booking). Long check in/out times, simply due to how busy the hotel was.

The stay was great, we were upgraded for my wife's birthday which I appreciate.
The valet was a little clunky. waiting in the lobby for the car, not being informed when it arrives.
Recommend a system where the ticket number is called out/displayed on arrival.

There is a an hourly shuttle service that takes you to and from queens street which was helpful.
The hotel needs to hire more cleaning staff as it is impacting the quality of their services, we headed to the hotel from the airport at 3:45 pm but our room was not ready, I gave the girl at the check-in desk a copy of my booking and she was like “what am I supposed to do with this ?” !!! we had to wander aimlessly in the streets of a new city for 3 hours in cold weather waiting for a message that they promised they’d send once our room is ready but it never came! I lost one of my duty free shopping bags in the process!
Our room was not cleaned daily and we had to sit with our overflowing dustbins and wet towels.
On our last day, we highlighted to the staff that there was spilled juice on the lobby floor, we stayed in the lobby for 35 minutes waiting for our taxi and the spill was not cleaned! And two guest almost tripped on the slippery surface!
I don’t like writing negative reviews as I understand the amount of work required to run any establishment, but for a 5 star hotel, this was simply unacceptable.

Location is about it
The front staff we met couldn’t check us in, we were charged for our stay when we checked in and again when we left. They still haven’t refunded us over 1000 for our stay. There were way too many cars, we literally had to retrieve our own car three times and park it because it was too busy. It seems management does not care about their staff, more about money. I travelled up for a conference, one they were planning to host there, I’ve told them not too, not 5 stars!!! More like a 3

Loved that it is away from down-town or Viaduct district, yet is still close to it.

Great location and great facilities. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and great a la cart restaurant on site.
Valet parking was expensive at $55 per night plus you need to give more than 30 mins notice to get access to your car. Also the shower curtains make the bathroom smell very bad they need to be changed more regularly.

The cleanliness of the pool. Large clumps of dark hair were sitting up near the drains in the spa area for 2 days in a row! Was rather off putting.

In room service was good and valet parking.
Room was not cleaned daily, invoicing and no justification for charges explained, no receipt given when checking out, no access to lift on second day. no reply from online enquiry, being diverted to the USA when ring through at my cost!

Great location, good facility
The drop-off / pickup parking was pretty bad. Because Cordis seems to have taken over several levels of nearby Wilson Parking exclusively for valet, there was no public parking available so we were forced to use valet. When we requested our car to be brought around the lady at the valet stand (I didn't get her name) took down our valet number but didn't actually get anyone to bring our car. After waiting 30 minutes on the street because the drive-thru was grid-locked, I went back to the valet stand and re-requested the pickup.

Poor bed and bedding. Frayed robes. AC didn't work very well. Food average. Service poor.

We were upgraded to the Pinnacle Tower, which is a lovely room with fantastic view of city/Skytower. Great service as usual and we enjoyed the pool and spa facilities.
