I was absolutely swept away by this property. The house is stunning inside, the view of the lake from the house and the backyard space are incredible and the private beach access is amazing. We surprised my mom for her 70th birthday with a family get-together at this house and couldn't have been happier with this property. It is spacious, well-stocked, and comfortable from top to bottom. We loved our stay and we all left saying...we have to come back to this house!

We used this house as a physical therapy school reunion, and had an absolute blast. The location was perfect as you just have to walk down a couple of flights of stairs to Lake Michigan, and a few stores are close by as well. The sleeping arrangements were great as there are so many comfortable beds and couches, and plenty of things to do inside. The back patio was great to hangout for fires and card games, and the basement actually looks recently updated, even better than the pictures listed

The beach access is very good at this property. About 40 steps with railings on both sides leads to a fully stocked beach shed. Then you walk through a dune to a beautiful private beachfront. The owners have been very thoughtful to have the beach shed fully stocked with chairs, beach boards, beach umbrellas, floats and toys. This is incredibly handy to guests and we were very appreciative to have all of this so easily accesible.
The outside deck facing the beach is incredible. Lots of comfortable seating, a fire pit and screened porch. All beautifully landscaped. There is a wonderful outdoor shower to rinse the sand. It's absolutely first class.
The house is lovely. The only downside is the first floor bedroom is very small. It does have a half bath next to it and there is a full bath with a walk in shower on the first floor. My parents aren't able to climb stairs well and they would have liked a larger bedroom on the first floor. The bedrooms upstairs were lovely and the bathrooms were all beautifully tiled with high end fixtures. Plenty of space in the 3 upstairs bedrooms.
The kitchen was very well stocked and even had spices available to use. The home is very comfortable and has a lot of character in the interior design.
The cottage is also very nice.
We had three generations on the trip and had a really nice vacation together. The hosts were wonderful too!

We had a wonderful stay at this house to celebrate a family birthday! Ages ranged from 1.5 to 73 years old and we found the house very comfortable for all ages. The communication with the owner prior to our stay was very prompt and helpful. Everything in the house perfectly matched the description and exceeded expectations! The home was well stocked to meet our kitchen/cooking needs and included other amenities such as all linens, beach towels, toiletries, pack n play and beach chairs. That truly made it a turn-key experience for us traveling with young children. The lake view from the home was outstanding and the private beach access was incredible! There is a public beach area right next door but it didn't bother us at all. Just be aware that there are stairs down to the beach if you are traveling with elderly family members but we found the stairs sturdy and accessible. Overall a wonderful stay from start to finish!

We had a great time at this beautiful home. We were three families and with five children between the ages of 10 months to 4 years. The house was perfect for the kids to run back and forth to the beach, to cook big group dinners and to relax around the fire pit in the evenings. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked. The location can’t be beat. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved this house and couldn't have had a better experience. The house was extremely well maintained and clean and we absolutely loved the outside oasis. We had a few questions about entry and the manager responded immediately. Location was perfect as well. Would highly recommend!!

Wonderful all around. Adam was super responsive about renting on short notice, and Mo was so helpful. Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood with spectacular views of Lake Michigan. The house was plenty spacious but also very cozy. Can’t wait to come back.

We are a group of over a dozen friends who have now enjoyed this home two years in a row now. It's a lovely home, on an incredible property that is well situated for large groups to take advantage of the gorgeous views and location. We're fortunate that our group is flexible on sleeping arrangements, but it could prove tough if you have lots of couples who require privacy, but overall -- we were all very comfortable! The hosts have definitely taken great care to makes sure that home is ready to support a larger group, from plenty of dishes, seats, and even beach equipment! We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

My parents, three siblings, and our families came together at this amazing location for a fantastic long weekend. We had 20 people, from 1-83 years old and everyone loved it. The kitchen, dining and outdoor space was Perfect for dinners together. The low bluff beach was a favorite place for all. We had fires in the fire pit every night. Not only was the house in perfect condition, but it was very well appointed—even firewood!

This is our second time staying at this property and we love it. The house is very comfortable, clean and the view of the lake is outstanding. There is a lot of outdoor areas to relax, eat a meal or make a fire. Sleeping with the windows open and hearing the lake at night is really great. This house was everything we wanted for our week vacation. The location is perfect! The beach was great along with the picture perfect sunsets! We woke up early to reserve our spot on the beach before it got busy (we didn’t want to ask someone to move because they were on our property). We had a few other families stay the weekend and they were very happy as well! A nice walk to Whistle Stop was great for a coffee, pastry or sandwich. We also made some chipmunk friends :) We can’t wait to stay here again!

Family Memories
We spent a week at this property for our parents 50th Anniversary. It brought family together that had not seen one another in a few years. The home suited our needs and the view was stunning. We had hoped for a little more privacy on the beach but given the holiday (Fourth of July) we expected more crowds than usual - it all worked out! We made memories, relaxed, and spent time together. It was everything we could have hoped for! Thank you for a great week!

Very beautiful view
House was very nice and served our family reunion very well. The view of the lake, trees and cool breezes made it a very pleasant stay even on the hottest days of the summer. Kids and adults will all enjoy the property. Really gave us everything we needed between the beach gear, bbq, kitchen supplies, kids games, etc. It's a very well stocked house. Bring eye-masks for the mornings though. We were all on West coast time and the bright and beautiful natural light everywhere was a minor inconvenience to those trying to sleep in in the morning. Otherwise we had a really wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the property - having the main house and guest house allowed for beds for everyone, which was perfect! The house is perfectly decorated, Adam was so responsive and flexible, and the beach and outdoor space was incredibly relaxing! Everything we needed for a few days away! Girls Weekend
We loved this house! Great property and outdoor space. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and really nice beach. Beds were comfortable. The queen in the loft (guest house) is only accessible by a ladder so not the best for older adults. Houses were very charming and clean. The tilework was beautiful.

Birthday weekend
We have now rented this property three times for my wife's birthday weekend. It's an ideal location for a get together as there are many bedrooms and we can accommodate a large group. The entertaining spaces indoors and out are amazing and we were able to enjoy fellowship and food in comfort and beautiful surroundings. The beach area is easily accessible by stairs and the sunset views are beautiful! The property is well maintained and there have been improvements in the past few years including a new firepit seating area. We have already booked our stay for next year!

Best Family Beach Trip
Once again, this place provided our family everything we needed! We love the la la lake(the littles call it) the outdoor area overlooking the lake and the open concept house for our family mealtime and gatherings. A real treat for us!
