Casa Mori is a charming Tuscan-styled villa on the outskirts of Stellenbosch on the top of a hill with stunning views across the countryside. We arrived on a rainy overcast day and decided to stay in and enjoy our extremely large and beautifully furnished room. We purchased some tasty house wine from the Casa Mori vineyard and soaked up the views and ambiance for the afternoon. We had prearranged with the owners to have dinner in the guest dining room. It was warm and welcoming with candles and a roaring log fireplace. The food was a wonderful home cooked affair. We were made to feel very welcome in this family run guesthouse. As we did not have time for breakfast in the morning, we were very kindly given a small breakfast bag to take with us. It is a perfect countryside retreat away from big towns and noisy roads.

Casa Mori is not so easy to find for the taxis. If you need an early morning transfer to the airport, make sure you pre-book your ride the night before. Casa Mori is not within walking distance of the town of Stellenbosch (approximately 10km). The bathroom is huge and spotlessly clean, but it has no doors, which could be a privacy issue to me.

The place is characterful and beautiful, Marilyn and Eugene are excellent hosts and we will surely return!

This is a perfect place to come and relax. It is definitely good value for money and has the most beautiful views in Stellenbosch. The owners really make you feel welcome and go out of their way with breakfast in the morning. My wife and I can't wait to return!

The villa is wonderful! It's a magic venue with a spectacular view. The hosts Marilyn and Eugene make your stay exceptional. They are great hosts and they provide you with great recommendations to discover the area. Additionally I advice to have dinner at the venue as Marilyn is an amazing cook! A bonus for animal lovers is the presence of 3 welcoming dogs and one cat that are just lovely.

Better bring some warm clothes as during winter the villa and the rooms might get quite cold, especially during load shedding. For the rest everything was just perfect!

If I have to fault anything, the bed - even though very comfortable - was a little bit narrow (140cm).

Amazing views , beautiful sitting out area . The property was stunning inside, lots of antiques. Run by a friendly helpful couple. Breakfast was very good.

The drive way needs some serious attention ( this has been mentioned before.) It wouldn’t be any good for a car with low suspension.

The views are magnificent from any location inside or outside of the house. The house is absolutely beautiful and our room was spotless and comfortable. Having coffee on the private balcony with a fantastic view was the cherry on the cake. Breakfast was delicious.

I could honestly not find fault with anything at all.
