Location and surroundings were perfect the property had perfect views of the cite. Nice large apartment with excellent hosts and brilliant facilities.

The property was perfect just could do with a blind in the bedroom.

A large, bright and comfy apartment on the 2nd floor with all mod cons. Fabulous view of Saint Gimer square and church as well as the Cite itself. Even when you're lying in bed, you can see the old city walls. Beautiful! But be aware, that as the apartment is right beside the church, that the bells will be ringing regularly. It didn't bother me at all but good to know about them.

Although there are shutters, I would have liked a blind in the bedroom to fit the old style windows. There is no air con in the bedroom and the bathroom door doesn't close properly.

location within east reach of the medieval town and modern town, walking distance. close to eateries and shops. walking distance to airport bus and bus terminus.

the bathroom door sticks, it just needs sorting, no great problem, but hard to get privacy.

The location at the castle’s feet is fantastic. Appartment is spacious, bed very large and comfy, bathroom spacious with a big shower 🚿 there is a little outdoors space with a table nice to sit at. Kitchen well equipped. It is easy to get to town as well

The bedroom window is at a lower ground floor so can’t really be open as it overlooks a pavement. If you open it Someone can step into your bed 😂 that window is the one with a view on the castle so that is a shame.

Mick and Inga were kind enough to pick us up at the airport (and take us back for our flight home!). They were lovely and thoughtful hosts. It was truly a pleasure to meet them. On the way to the apartment they took us for a bit of a tour of Carcassonne and pointed out and explained local attractions, suitable restaurants, the closest epicerie/shop to buy groceries, wine and basic supplies (just a minute from the apartment) and the location of the absolutely unbelievable Saturday market that was held the next day - probably the most impressive market we've ever attended. The apartment is absolutely lovely, clean, modern and beautifully equipped, with a very comfortable bed. It even has a private outdoor space with a table and chairs. The views from just outside the front door of the apartment building up to the walled Cité are spectacular. As we arrived during a heat wave the air-conditioning, and extra fan were more than appreciated. The location is simply a 10 out of 10. The apartment is literally located at the bottom of the (steep) walk up to la Cité and the walk into the new town over the medieval bridge is 10 - 15 min. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend. Thanks so much!

Could have had a sturdier cork screw - we did use it a lot, it's France after all :)
