Staff are very accomodating, super friendly and polite, warm hospitality, food is delicious, place is clean and cozy... It's like staying in a museum. Swimming pool and facilities are clean. We enjoyed our stay.
The annex family villa where we stayed is quite far from main... We don't have a car, but they provided shuttle service to transport us to and fro the main hotel where the swimming pool and breakfast are located... There's no private pool in the annex family villa even though the posting shows it.

Paradores is a jewel of a hotel in Taal. Its an aura of magical vintage ness that exudes the opulent Filipino spirit. Every guest will be billeted to experiences of walking back in time, Philippine scene, by this hotel.
The mattress used in one of the beds has seen the best of times, so to speak. May the management find it soon and replace promptly

It was our second time in this establishment. There was no swimming pool yet in the past and the restaurant has gone bigger and better. The location is expectedly excellent because it is right at the center where interesting spots can be reached through walking. Very nice view at the deck. The room is very clean and the food (buffet breakfast) was excellent. Very warm and helpful staff.
There was a little problem with the A/C initially but it was quickly resolved. Shower water pressure can be improved.

In general, everything. Paradores del Castillo is an excellent place to stay whenever you want to visit Taal, the somewhat quaint, but noble, ancient capital of the Philippines.
We have stayed at PDC on earlier occasions, and the staff is excellent: kind, accommodating, flexible.
The rooms may not be big in surface, but are well laid out, and it's nice to relax in this ancient ancestral home.
The, otherwise very good, restaurant of PDC closes a bit too early, and you definitely feel that the kind staff is paid ZERO hours beyond end of service time.
"Last orders' at 7:30 PM is a bit exaggerated.
Not that patrons should be allowed to keep staff available until after midnight, but a little more flexibility wouldn't hurt.
If you have any specific requests, like Senior Citizen discount, better book directly via the PDC website.
Via booking.com these requests cannot be taken into consideration on arrival.

it was a heritage house
the beds were narrow. they said it can accommodate two people when in reality it is good for one only.

I like everything…the staff’s hospitality, the nostalgic atmosphere, the property facilities, the comfort it gave during our stay, the delicious meals in the restaurant, the ambiance of our room.

Staff are polite & friendly, helpful & professional. Hotel is clean, historical. Breakfast is superbly local. Swimming pool is clean. Location is at the town centre
For a historical town there should be a cafe open selling an authentic barako coffee early in the morning. Just like in Europe but maybe thats just me.

We fortunately came without any other guests. It was truly a home to us. I loved all the thoughtful touches amd warmth of staff. We will be back!
Nothing not to like.

Hotel ambience, and the small infinity pool. Very classical neo-gothic Spanish exceeded my expectations based on the reviews I had read. The staff could not have been more helpful in any way. My only fault was the choice of drinks at the bar, although the hotel was happy for me to buy locally and bring back to the hotel.
Wifi coverage, but it was good enough.

The hotel staff were polite and friendly. They attend to our needs immediately. Also, the facilities are properly maintained considering the age of hotel.
There were flies and mosquitoes in the hotel’s restaurant which annoy us while taking our meal. The hotel staff tried to fix this issue. But, still it was not enough to solve the problem.

The place is clean, neat and easy to talk to staff. Their buffet breakfast was delicious. Thumbs up to Kuya who drove us to take us to the annex where we were stationed. Bravo !!! Thanks again guys.
away from nightlife and no bar nearby. If you want to relax this place is the best choice.

I liked the very well decorated property. The will get full marks for their cleanliness and the staffs were really nice to us. The location was also very good. It was not very far from the main town or the market places but at the same time, the noise of the town couldn't bother us. We loved the view from the balcony beside our room. The food was great except for their Halo-halo. The garden is a symbol of freshness. Although I could not manage to get into their pool, it seemed really nice. If you want to stay at Taal, you should keep this place in your consideration.
The wifi did not work on the first night. But it was not annoying to me as I had an internet package on my mobile. But not all of the other people traveling with me had their cell phone data on.
