Great location, cute town. We needed ice to keep medication cold. They helped provide it anytime we asked.

We were there during a heat wave. All the bedding was set up for winter. No fans in the room. Hard to sleep, even with the windows open. I can't hold it too much against them as it was record breaking heat, but they weren't prepared.

The room is quite small but ok for 1 person. Breakfast is great. Friendly and helpful staff.

Although lift is available, you still have 3-4 steps staircase to reach your floor. So be aware if you are carrying big or heavy luggage. The shared bathroom is quite far from the room..

All was excellent. I was sad to leave this accommodation - I would have loved to be able to stay longer!

Good location, pretty good value for money for those on a budget.

This is a budget hotel in a very old and crampy building in desperate need for renovation, with check-in in the neighbouring newer hotel (Hotel Tannenhof). This in itself is not a problem. However, my hotel was undergoing some renovation during my stay, with carpenters/builders working right outside the rooms making a lot of noise. There were absolutely no information regarding this upon booking (a few days before arrival), or any information regarding this before or during check-in. No apologies etc. If I had knew this I would have never booked this hotel - and I would expect even a budget hotel to shut down the parts undergoing renovation during construction. I did not pay to live on a building site. The room had a very old smell, and the bathroom's smell was not at all pleasant. I wanted to have dinner in the neighbouring hotel's restaurant (Restaurant Golden LokDown). The online booking told me it was full, so I went to the reception of the hotel and asked for a table, which they were able to give me. To my surprise, when I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, apart from one other company. Also they served old dry bread from the day before. Do not recommend.

Clients choosing rooms with shared toilet and bathroom most probably cannot afford eating in restaurants several times per day, so they might prefer to bring in the room the food bought in grocery. Therefore a bigger table would be appreciated, since there is a space for it in the room.

Room had a balcony with views of the Matterhorn. It was clean, spacious for a solo traveller

The ceilings in the washroom and door to washroom were extremely low, hit my head multiple times. They are doing renovations starting early in the morning so the place is loud with drilling hammering etc.. Place is a mess at the end of the day and not properly cleaned from construction. Walls are paper thin, could hear other guests snoring in another room. Ear plugs are a must. Also has a bath not a shower (which is fine) but if you’re taller you won’t fit properly.

Central location, spotlessly clean, good view, excellent breakfast, very cool retro lounge area.

The staff were not very friendly, and didn’t seem to know much about what was happening around town, like when cable cars were open or good hiking suggestions below the snow line. Had to work it all out myself.

Awesome city and perfect hotel! Short walk from train station! We got surprised with the upgraded room! The breakfast was excellent. Would definitely return!

Location is fantastic have room number 18 it overlooks the Matterhorn can't beat it. Breakfast is provided in the hotel next door is fantastic with great service from the staff. Also everything is super clean and Tidy and the room well serviced.

Anything we didn't like was I think the mattress had some springs worn out we could feel the spring in one of them and the pillows were a bit soft fore our liking, in that overall can't really complain for the value provided.

The location of this hotel is perfect - less than 10 minutes walk from the main station and located at a corner of a street, hence lesser human traffic yet very close to the main street of Zermatt. Room was very clean as well.

To reach your rooms, you’ll have to walk up/down a few steps of stairs (lift reaches mid-level). Hence, this is something to consider if you have heavy luggages to carry.

continental breakfast every day, room is cleaned and bed is made every day. not too far from lifts (~5 mins), very central, close to groceries - migros & coop.

wifi quality was not as great. it was working, but from time to time speed dropped quite a bit

Good central location Helpful staff. Large room with key safe and good WiFi. Beautiful balcony shared with other rooms. Coffee tea kit. Good value for money for expensive Zermatt. Good breakfast.

No fridge in the room. The main problem: poor soundproofing. Could hear guests talking from neighboring rooms, footsteps upstairs coming from the ceiling, and noise from the hallway. That is, in the entire room, inside the hotel. I was only able to sleep after all the guests were asleep and I woke up with the first ones to wake up. There is no way to complain about noise at night because reception does not work at night and there is no telephone in the room. The hotel had to invest and take care of this, because tranquility in a hotel is fundamental.
