The location of this apartment is not far from the Sunnega Express and in the morning it is a downhill walk but in the evening it is an uphill walk. Having said this there is a ski hire shop a supermarket a great pizza restaurant and the popular Papperla Pub only a short walk from this apartment.

The two bedroom apartment is spacious, the bedrooms and living room all have direct access to the big balcony facing a small public green space with BBQ facility/playground of the residential area and the gorgeous view of the Matterhorn. It has two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. Kitchen is quite well equipped (oven, big fridge, dishwasher, fondue set, etc.), living room has nice L-shape sofa and big screen TV. WIFI works well. Great location, quiet and safe with easy access to restaurants, shops, grocery stores (Pam, 2 mins away, Migros about about 6 mins away), hiking routes and the nearby village of Winkelmatten, forest (great for walking your pet). Close to the river and bridge with great view of Matterhorn, and few minutes walk from there to the church of the town; and about 10 mins from/to Zermatt train station. Hosts are friendly and easygoing, keys pick up was easy and they even accommodated early check-in. For a one week stay, hosts also offered to change towels in the middle of the week. Really suitable for a mid/long stay to have the comfort of home and possibility to cook/eat in. Hosts also offered a nice bottle of wine to welcome guests.

Prefer firmer mattress. Bedroom could provide extra pillows especially the type provided is quite flat; prefer soap dispenser in the bathroom to be automated instead of squeezing the bottle (also better in the time of COVID). Found some dirty pots and pans/kitchen utensils, cleaners should be instructed to check and ensure every single piece of kitchen utensils/crockery/cookware properly cleaned as some tenants may not have left those things properly cleaned after use. Cooking oil was not provided while there was salt, pepper and sugar. No microwave to heat food up easily and no mop for the floor, only vacuum cleaner available. Could have offered more English TV channels, currently limited to BBC channels mainly. The apartment is pet friendly (at a surcharge of 10 CHF per night) but the public green space/playground is not. If seen with your pet there, someone may tell you off or demand you to leave because their children maybe afraid of dogs, or they think the dogs may dirty the playground/public green space.
