In general, the hotel is expanding and building new structures like yoga place and a very good place for a stay in Watamu —-but I’ll reconsider my choices next year because of breakfast policy. The swimming pool is lovely as always and the New Fitness in an open space is well equipped and modern and I enjoyed working out. Rooms are stocked with water and variety of tea and a pot.
Easy access to Lichthaus. Bed was comfy with many pillows.
I did not like the room assigned room 1D ( it had partial view of the ocean but far from many things ). The pump above the room constantly hummed with funny “coughing like sound” as well the room was quipped with all the toiletries except lotion. I was disappointed to forfeit booking at Hemingway that could have offered breakfast for Temple point. The staff that attended to me are absolutely lovely people. The staff ushering guest at the Lichthaus needs to be trained on sensitivity “theories of isms” being singed out when white guests aren’t and asked twice in a row by the same person “whether I am guest at the hotel” while the white guest that I was with isn’t asked and somehow need to pay the entrance fee was impulsively annoying but also implying that somehow I possess distinct inferior racial characteristics, financial inabilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish me as incapable of being a guest at Temple point

The location is perfect with a private secure beach and easy access to Watamu
Amenities available on site - gym, swimming pool, lounge area, food (apple crumble, game day platter), Lichaus bar with amazing sunset views
There is a monkey sanctuary on the grounds and keeps the kids entertained if not scared!
The room is dated with old fixtures and sanitary ware
Shower didn't give warm water but didn't matter in the warm weather
The food choices could have been more kid friendly

The place has a lot of nature which makes the environment and location really nice!
Staff was nice and carrying.
The food quality and options should be improved in the buffet for all meals. There was not many options and it didn’t look well done nor fresh. All plates were broken at the buffet.
The matress in the rooms could also be more comfortable and the rooms could have more natural light

We had to book this hotel as an alternative following a problem at another hotel. The friendly staff kindly showed us around available rooms and facilities prior to booking. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the pools, gardens, restaurants, bars and all areas were spotlessly clean and well kept at all times, but the staff were the best part of the time we spent at this lovely place. They are a credit to the hotel, especially Emmanuelle, Charles, Kahindi, Gabriella and Jackeline who all kept us smiling during our whole stay. Thank you all!
Nothing at all! Even when we had to ask for further help it was provided quickly and without question, nothing was too much trouble.

Great location, nice property. Management has done some renovations since our last visit which has really added value to the place. Large pool, ocean access, easy to reach.
Monkeys in the open roof running on dusty rails right above the buffet food is hygienically not great and made us abstain from not covered dishes. And our room did not have all the items mentioned on the list of booking.com such as hairdryer or tv

Nice resort and room with Swahili décor in a great location overlooking the ocean and Mida Creek. Food was good. Very nice pools (saltwater). Air conditioned.
Our unit had no water for about 12 hrs for each of the 2 evenings we were booked but management provided access to other rooms with water. Broken hair dryer. No in-room deposit safe. The Lighthouse restaurant has posted very offensive language at the entrance (aka sexual cursing of your mother). Why? This is not funny and certainly very offensive in Kenya. Please remove it.

loved the location, very secluded but close enough to the centre on the bike. staff was very friendly and professional. food at the bazaar restaurant was exceptional!
all inclusive option wasn’t available, would much prefer that.

Private and super clean beach
Hotel could have done more on the big pool area to make it more cozy and also the a la carts menu food was way overpriced.

Stunning location.
Amazing team of staff on the property.
Beautiful resort over all.
The shower needs a little attention in that slope of the it doesn’t allow water to drain properly.

Temple point was great! Lovely staff and very easy and helpful with whatever you need.
Eunice was fantastic and organising and sorting questions I had before we got there and sorting us when we got there. We had a beautiful honeymoon package with a romantic meal which was amazing. Jackeline was our main waitress and she was fantastic she undertsood my dietry needs, I have coeliac disease and this makes it hard for me to eat places, temple point sorted me the head chef mark to sort my meals as I could eat from the buffet, this was amazing his food was perfect and safe and made my life south easier so thank you Mark!
The room was lovely, great air con, WiFi and beautiful setting, would highly recommend and is safe for gluten free just contact them prior
We didn't like that hotel guests had to pay 2000 kes to get in to the bar on the beach and then if you didn't spend exactly that on the date you didn't get it back if you spent more you had the get another 2000 kes voucher made no sense, the bar was very loud on new years until 5am which was understandable because its new years but 5am is abit much or maybe prewar the guests that are nearer and can hear the bar

The location is fine, the place is quiet. Front desk and reservation staff are quick to accommodate requests if and when challenges occur.
I got a room upgrade. I added one more night to my stay.
The breakfast options was quite TERRIBLE, the chef served burnt and overcooked food severally.
The breakfast staff is a NIGHTMARE, my requests were ignored severally ,was subjected to their infights (where i had to remind them that i was a paying guest) and they flatly refused to serve at one point.
I thought the bad attitudes and unprofessionalism was the norm until a white guest joined on the third day and the staff magically transformed. Its 2022 and racial discrimination against Kenyans who are equally paying clients is quite unacceptable.
As a frequent Solo female traveler this is the WORST treatment I've received in my country. The experience was beyond disappointing and might be the only reason to not come back.
Housekeeping should be a bit keen but once you raise your issue through the front desk they are quick to accommodate your request.
There are no phones in the room and reception closes at 11.00pm till 6.00 am and there's no way to reach them incase of an emergency.

-Serene location with lots of flora
-Litchaus bar is quite famous and pull guests from other neighbouring facilities for the sunset view
-Spacious rooms
-Outdoor cinema at 7.30pm. However, timing should be adjusted to 10.00pm to allow guests enjoy sunset at Litchaus and dinner, otherwise, you can't have both and Litchaus always wins.
-Meal type is alcarte possibly due to the few guests that were there. Choosing appropriate meal is a task.
-Meal plan even for full board accommodation doesn't include a soft drink or even water. This is billed separately.
-Swimming pool's water is quite salty. It should be disalinated.
-Menus indicate outdated prices. Actual billing is higher than indicated on menus.

The location is amazing.
You can eat in Lichthaus for 1000kes in the evening and watch the sunset.
The pool is great and cleaned daily.
It's a long way to the long beach, but it's on the coast.
Basically I liked everything!

Nando was very helpful with our excursions
we when off peak so some water activities weren’t a available which I wasn’t aware of
we arrived quite late and food at buffet was pretty much out - we tried to go out to get something but got told we couldn’t bring any food back to the hotel
staff weren’t very helpful in my opinion we checked out a day early

The deluxe rooms, private beach, Litchhaus bar and the views of Mida Creek
There was wood borer in the standard room. we were fortunate enough to be moved to a better and cleaner room on our last night
