Little vegetarian food options no plant milk, no bar and hotel too warm

The hotel is a very established hotel so the rooms, furniture are a bit old. But all fully functional. The staff are quite senior and reflected in execellent and exemplary customer service. But the ultimate value of staying in this hotel is the view of Mount Fuji - second to none, the best view from the panoramic platform above level 5

Room is a bit dated , furniture a bit old and there is no control of the air cond temperature in the room!! I actual forgot to lock te room door as I thought the door auto locks!

The old male employee at the check-in counter was terrible. Hotel that require the use of old keys to unlock rooms. Not yet key cards. Lost keys, charge a fine of 20,000 yen, more expensive than the cost of the room, no more clearly. The pricing was his idea alone. There is no written evidence according to hotel standards.

ホテルの部屋から見える景色の良さ、部屋の清潔さや快適さホテルでの時間がとても有意義に過ごせました。 またチェックアウトの際クレジットカードを利用しようとしたのですが支払いができず手持ちにお金がなかった為少し離れた近くのコンビニまで歩いて行こうとした際に車でわざわざ送ってくださいました。 そしてチェックアウトが終了しホテルから出ている河口湖駅までのシャトルバスがあったのですがコンビニに行ってる間にバスの時間が来てしまい乗れず、自力で駅まで行こうと思っていたら河口湖駅まで送ってくださいました。本当に親切で優しくしていただきました。 またこのホテルを利用したいと強く感じました。

最上階の富士山側の部屋でよかった。清潔感にあふれていた。

部屋割りの人数が希望通りにならなかった

The hotel is beautifully situated near a lake. From one side you see the woods and the lake and from the other Mt. Fuji. The rooms are Japanese style. The staff will convert the space into night space in the evening. The onsen is located outside which gives an extra point!

The building is a bit outdated.

The staff were absolutely incredible. Some of the most stunning views from any hotel we’ve ever been to.

The rooms are a little dated

Onsen was nice and relaxing. It ticks the box of Mt Fuji view, Japanese style room and onsen for us. Great for a relaxing time.

You have to have a car to get around and explore

Booking.com again showed 2pax only while we have 3pax. When we come into the room everything is set for 3 pax. We felt that we are wasting time in contacting and arguing with booking.com person and hotel counter.

- Friendly and helpful staff - Breathtaking view of the river - shuttle bus service was very convenient 

- I wish there were “Halal” options for those who don’t eat pork or alcohol products . The location of the hotel was a bit far from shops and restaurants so it was so hard for us to find places to eat . 

Amazing service.

Mt Fuji view is good as long as the weather is good. We went for the Japanese style room and it was fantastic in terms of room size. Futons were extremely comfortable and hence we all rested well through the night. We also liked that there were toys available in the lobby for kids to bring into the rooms to play. Onsen was great! There's also shuttle bus service to the train station.

You can tell that this is a relatively old hotel - room's door lock uses manual key. You'll also need to manually adjust the hot and cold taps to get your optimal water temperature too. While we appreciate the shuttle bus service, it's important to note that the last shuttle bus from the train station to hotel is at 6ish in the evening. So this means you'll need to grab early dinner to catch the last shuttle bus or take a taxi back to hotel at your own cost. The hotel is situated fairly far from the train station (10min drive), and hence we didn't feel that it's walkable. It wasn't easy to get a taxi in Lake Kawaguchi, we had to queue for about 20min in the station's taxi stand (at about 8pm) to get a cab to get back to the hotel. So if you think you'll end your day late and you do not have private transport, you must be prepared to wait for taxis.

Mt Fuji is directly is in front of the hotel so a spectacular view which you can capture at different times of the day. The rooms are large and we had a view of trees around the property and a bit of the lake in the distance. The staff were so helpful and willing to please.

what an amazing hotel! we had rooms with fantastic view on Mt. Fuji. if you don't book view on Mt. Fuji you may still have great views on the lake or you go to the (free) lounge upstairs where you can view Fujiyama. the hotel is in an extremely quiet part of the town, no comparison with the rumour around the station. small family run traditional restaurant just 3 min walking from hotel (right side up the road before crossing main road) run by a lovely lady and her husband, we enjoyed lunch and dinner there. the hotel also offers exquisite and delicious dinner arrangements. breakfast buffet in the hotel was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. the free shuttle bus to the station is a welcome perk here. if we ever visit again, no doubt in this hotel. a big thank you to the team for this wonderful stay!

The setting was stunning. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the General Manager and Kotorii-San.
