Had a great time, Very quiet area, hardly saw anyone on the lake. Its still early in the season. We had trouble with the air conditioning but Alison took care of it. The house was very well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans.

This property fit our needs perfectly for our long weekend family getaway! Very clean and cozy! Allison is very nice, helpful and easy to contact. We would definitely stay here again!

My best friend, our husbands, and our toddlers had a wonderful time at the lake house. We had everything we needed for our stay. The beach area and fire pit were great. Host was amazing!

Our 3 generation family (2-70+, 4-40+, 3-teens) thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Whispering Oaks Cottage. It met our needs in every way and the host was extremely responsive to any of our questions and went above and beyond with accommodating us. The property was as described, well-stocked, and very spacious for our needs. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and we all enjoyed the water toys/raft. The beach and lake were perfect as always - we love Cable Lake because it is so peaceful. We only went off site to get ice cream at the Driftwood because the lake and the house were really all we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon! The lake was perfect and was very fun to kayak and paddle board on (we brought our own paddle board). Plenty of space for everyone and clean amenities.

Allison's property was the perfect getaway for our annual family trip! The kitchen was very well stocked, and had anything we could have possibly needed for cooking on our trip. It seems as though she thought of everything, down to the suitcase stands in the bedrooms. The three kayaks and paddle boat were also so much fun to use at the water! The beach area in front of the property was absolutely perfect. It had great sand, and was perfect for the children of all ages to play in. We are already looking forward to coming back to this property for another trip in the future!

We had a great time! Family of 5 with 3 girls 8, 6 and 5. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 on location is because I didn’t realize Cable Lake was a non motorized lake and my husband is an avid jet skier 😬 plenty of launches nearby and allowed us to explore more than we typically would! House was wonderful :)

Grandparents, adult kids, and their young children (7, 4, 1) all had great fun staying and playing at this extra nice home on Cable Lake. We especially enjoyed using the peddle boat and green kayaks on the no wake lake! It was very safe for our children, and the shallow water at the beach was perfect for water play and swimming for our 7 year old! The two tier beach is exceptional and lends itself to fun sand play...a new sand creation imagined every day! We noticed that most of the lake did not have a shallow access for play in the water, so we were very thankful we chose this property! The owner is careful about keeping the property in good repair, and the kitchen is unusually well equipped. We had terrific times gathered about the beautiful dining table for family meals. The neighborhood is also nice for taking family walks, and we enjoyed visiting the Driftwood Ice Cream shop one evening! We were surprised by the visit of a very large turtle one morning (apparently it had crawled up on the top level of the sand beach, rolled down the embankment, and got stuck on its back near the water's edge). A rescue to flip the turtle safely over onto its tummy was successful, and it swam away in the flash, much to our delight! We also saw numerous turtle heads poking out of the water at various times, and we enjoyed the water lilies that were blooming! It is a peaceful place to stay (even during the week of July 4th!). The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is unusually soft, while the bedrooms are nicely decorated. We also enjoyed the artwork on many of the walls. The photos reflected what we found upon arrival. In addition, the owner has installed a generator so that there is power if the electricity goes out. We've had personal experience with this happening during a previous vacation (4 days without power), so it was nice to know there is a back up plan for electricity in the event of a storm. If you have a 1 year old, you might consider moving the tan, rectangular plush stool from the lower level up to the family room (use it to block the stairway, as baby gates do not work with the railing). This worked really well for us, and kept everybody safe. There is much more that I could say about this property! We enjoyed games around the coffee table, and read wonderful stories to the kids both upstairs and downstairs, as the furniture is very comfortable for doing that kind of thing! The house was great with perfect amount of space for adults and the kids. The lakefront was fun with sand play and the water toys. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The bass and blue gills came up close to us and the kids had a blast trying to catch them.

We had a wonderful time at Sister Lakes. The house was stocked with everything we needed to make our trip more comfortable. We loved the kayaks, row boat, and paddle boat. The kids had so much fun swimming to the swim pad. It was the perfect lake for our families to relax and enjoy the weekend. We hope to come back again soon. Thanks Alison!

This was our second year at Whispering Pines and although I didn't think it was possible, we loved it more this year than last year. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 5 kids, and the no motor lake with beach access and kayaks and a a paddle boat make this house a wonderful escape.

It looks exactly like the pictures and was equipped with everything we needed. We used it as a home base to explore the surrounding area as well as St. Joseph's, Fernwood Botanical Garden and Warren Dunes State Park. When we weren't out and about exploring, we enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck overlooking the peaceful lake, kayaking around the lake and sitting around the fire pit making s'mores. This is definitely a place we'll come back to in the future!

This home is downright perfect for a family getaway (mom/grandma, 3 siblings, their adult, teen and preteen kids and significant others). Between the abundance of space, beds and bathrooms, pool table and games, and kitchen stocked amazingly well with everything you’d need, it served our family perfectly! The kayaks were a huge hit and we had lots of great adventures on the pedal boat. Fishing on the dock was fruitful too. The sandy beach area was perfect for pulling up a chair and relaxing with feet in the water. Since cable lake is a no wake lake it was amazingly peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Alison was a treat to work with and super responsive. We are already looking at dates for next summer so we don’t miss out. A true gem!
