Great location, Room condition bare minimum had to ask for basic amenities like shower caps, kettle for hot water, bath robes, floor towels for shower, additional garbage can, power outlets don't always work etc....
All activities are charge on a menu even at the beach.
The lobby bar was durty and the tables are sticky and the sofa and chairs are dirty with left over food.
Alaia signature restaurant is a disaster, the only good place for dinner is the Beach House where we end up for dinner every night of our stay.
The Ocean club access is not worth the cost, way over charged for what is offered.
Would have appreciated if valet parking charges was advised at arrival instead of finding out at check out.
The concierge desk was unhelpful end up having to set up everything by ourself.
Nalu Spa / Salon was great. Great couple massage with Jesica and Wilson. recommend them highly.
The Palmer golf course was great and everyone there are very helpful and welcoming.

Amazing stay

The facility and location are beautiful. I would almost give it 5 stars in every category, but with the acception of food. I thought the food prices for the food quality weren't worth it. The 1st evenings dinner, a shared appetizer, I had fish and my wife had chicken, two deserts and diet cokes. Total price after tipping was about $210. The fish was over cooked and the chicken tough. 2nd evening we were not as hungry so we shared an entre, split a salad and a dessert with diet cokes. $150. The entre was good and the the salad was not. So rather than just eat on site during our 9 day stay, we were looking for other places to eat . We found the grocery store in Laie and the food carts to be our best option. We also requested a microwave for the room.

Turtle Bay screams quality in every way. The full resort is recently renovated including the lobby, restaurants and rooms.
It is located on the north shore of Oahu which is pretty isolated, with no other resorts in the area. This isolation was noticeable in the lack of crowds at the near by beaches and ease of restaurant reservations.
If considering Hawaiian resorts, please look at Turtle Bay.

Beautiful resort. Great dining options. Romantic setting for couples. Great customer service.

Loved everything. What an amazing property. It’s a 10. If I had to be picky. The one thing I’d say that could improve was our mattress. It’s not a deal breaker - but if your partner moves - you sure do feel it.

Fabulous scenery, luxurious accommodations and an attentive staff made my stay a great experience.

It’s beautiful, clean, so big and spread out it feels less crowded than other places.

Great resort! Everything is five star, except it is ridiculously expensive for food, drinks and spa.
Same things are 1/3 - 1/2 the cost outside the resort.

Beautiful, but very far from the airport and very expensive transportation to and from hotel

The renovations are phenomenal. Our room was LOVELY. The views breathtaking. The resort is HUGE so we were able to hike in both directions and saw so many beautiful sites
We had wonderful meals at all of the restaurants. The sunset bar is perfect to watch the sunset.
The staff is so accommodating and friendly. They offered great ideas for excursions
The shopping was amazing. We bought great clothes and souvenirs
The pool and beach are wonderful and we especially loved the over 21 adult pool

Beautiful property on beautiful grounds. Extremely friendly staff. We had an amazing time. Will definitely recommend.

Quality/location/view from the room did not match the price. Concierge staff never got back to us about activity availability, even after three separate contacts with them. Staff at snack/coffee bar are painfully slow and inefficient. Would not have expected this type of resort to nickel and dime you for every activity, but they do. Been here three times now, won’t be back.

The hotel is isolated and WAY overpriced. It’s a beautiful location, but extremely windy, rainy, and cold.
The food and drink service is insanely overpriced and very poor quality.
The staff were all very polite and friendly.
I would not stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience, but i recommend you specifically request the sunset facing side of the hotel - would’ve really improved our experience.

Expensive! Whats nice- its far away from the touristy areas. Whats bad- pricey- limited options for food if you have kids and everything comes with a cost, even when you pay the resort fee. Not a great place for tweens. We spent most of our time leaving the resort to find activities.

The amazing scenery with easy access to sunrise and sunset views, the beautiful beach with great snorkelling opportunities, and the wonderful activities and staff made this resort the highlight of our trip.

Great place to stay and be able to swim right out the back door of motel in bay or pool. Never felt crowded and service is great. Lots to explore on resort and around the north shore.
Only complaint is I was really looking forward to a nice comfortable bed since it’s such a nice resort and the cost of staying there led me to believe they’d have top of the line beds, right? But no..they were so hard and stiff it was hurting my shoulders and hips. Woke up multiple times every night aching and sore in the morning. Big disappointment.

Beautiful property, something for everyone. Close to town if you want other food options. Everyone was courteous and ensured you had a wonderful stay. Our room service was great - especially Glenda, she made sure we had everything we needed and always greeted us with a friendly smile. Will return next time with kids!

Despite its promise, this hotel property failed to impress.
We were traveling with two teens. We were drawn by the recent renovations and the promise of large property with purported many offerings. If you intend to have a romantic stay for a surfing couple, this is your place; otherwise, be very aware of its shortcomings.
The staff were mostly welcoming. They were clearly overworked, esp over the Thanksgiving rush of travelers. The location was amazing, but very isolated; it’s about an hour from HNL, so a rental car is a must. Note that the hotel promotes an EV rental feature, but this turned out to be total dud! There is no fast charger that is exclusive to this program, and the nearest supercharger is in HNL. Rent a car if you want to see the North shore, believe me.
The hotel suffers from inadequate staffing. If there is an opportunity take money from you, they are very available to take your drink order, but there is no one to clean up the pool deck chairs! Similarly, the beach area does not have a lifeguard, and this is nonsensical for the North shore and the family friendly ethos that the property wishes to promote. During our stay, there was a near-drowning event where a dozen parents jumped in to search for a boy, while the beach staff showed no interest in calling for help, much less helping themselves. The pools are small/not heated, the slides are boring and congested, and the amenities are very limited, (45min bike rental). Disappointing place for family!

The property is amazing. Beaches are perfect. There’s trails nearby to see neat sites and plenty to keep us busy just within the resort. Food was very very good at all the restaurants. We ate at Roy’s twice! Had room service some days vs breakfast buffet. That worked better for us. Our view from the room was beautiful. We had beachfront with balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. So pretty! I loved this resort. And I highly recommend the Paniolo Cowboy Luau too. Best food and fun.

Turtle bay resort is my favorite resort on Oahu the pool bar view and bartenders are the best on the island. The patio and views in the room is awesome the grounds and lagoon great for relaxing. The infinity pool and hot tub are excellent only issues should stay open later like 10pm
