It was difficult to enter hotel by car or taxi.

Hotel is located in a restricted transportation area, no direct transportation to hotel, it takes 5-10 walk from subway station.

Rooms quite not as big as I thought but utilization of space is good. One issue that I have is the water pressure is very small. I tried both the standard room and premium room and there's a difference in the water pressure. It's very small for the standard room.

Great location, very decent sized room and toilet, this is going to be my new fave hotel in Myeongdong from now on! Just some minor things - would be nice if teaspoons could be provided; if bigger and not-so-worn bath towels were provided (there was 1 night that 1 towel had a tiny hole); and during winter, if a small fan could be provided as it can get really stuffy without the aircon.

Excellent location right in the heart of myeongdong. Hotel was clean though showing signs of Aging. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Seoul

Helpful staff.. can’t beat the location! No room upgrade even though booked through Expedia.. only late check out (2pm) was given. Only complaint was the room was very warm (even though we stayed in early December) and no ac even though there was a control switchboard it didn’t actually work for changing room temp.

Great location for first time travelers. Absolute must because there is a lot to see and convenience to many stores is a couple steps away. Be prepared to be positively overwhelmed and food costs to be slightly higher than other neighborhoods. Loved and enjoyed my stay

Clean and neat. Decent light. Adequate space for the price. No instructions in English for the washer/dryer so I could not use it. Not enough towels. Hand sanitizer almost empty. Furnishings were very sparse. No instructions for smart TV so unless you know Korean you won’t be able to log onto Netflix.

Very convenient to everywhere, from transport to food to shopping.

Great hotel stay at one of the most busy shopping street in Seoul. Can’t really complain about anything, though the room is slightly small for 2 adults and 2 kids. Will choose to stay there in the future. We stayed there for 8 nights in total

The hotel did not disappoint. My first time in Seoul and not knowing the area too well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and great view. We stayed 9 nights and needed trash dumped and towels changed mid stay and request was handled quickly. Location was great, and close to subway stations. Although it was right in Myeongdong , room was quiet. I would definitely stay here if you want to be in the center of the nightlife and also for quick access to explore other areas.

It was a great stay with comfortable room and super great location! There was a mysterious drilling sound one of the night and the staff was very prompt to attend to us and help us out. Appreciated the service to help and offer to switch rooms. Thank you to the staff at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong.

Enjoyed our stay at Solaria, overall. 1. Room Pros: We got a nice premium triple corner room with a view of Myeongdong Cathedral. Clean room & nice beddings. Cons: The separate toilet didn’t have its own handwash, we had to go to the main bathroom to wash our hands. The small garden with artificial grass in the balcony is a safety hazard. It could cause someone to trip on it. We feel it’s unnecessary to have the artificial garden. Also the trash cans in the bathroom & toilet are too small. 3. Breakfast Buffet breakfast was delicious especially the local food spread. Price is also quite reasonable. 4. Service The staff were friendly & approachable. We liked that they allowed luggage storage before & after our stay. Our only complaint is they could have offered to have someone help us carry our bags to the taxi waiting area especially since the hotel is located in an area where a taxi cannot enter.

Close to train station and myeongdong street. Bed was comfy.

I like Japanese brands and ended up this hotel didn’t disappoint me. The location is very convenient, and the room size is reasonable, plus it’s very clean. Worth the price I paid. Highly recommend

The location couldn’t be better! If you’re looking to be in the middle of myeondong shopping area then look no further. Solo female traveler here and I felt safe the whole time. You can walk outside of your hotel and find everything you need; food, shopping, and metro access etc. My only complaint was the room had an odor that was strong and hard to get of. It smelled like old carpet or strong incense, made it hard to get comfortable. I turned on the humidifier the whole time as well as spray some perfume in my room to get the smell away. Other than the unbearable smell in my room which I do not know if other rooms have the same issue, the customer service and location was wonderful.

The hotel a bit run down.

The location was so convenient! I also loved the interior design of the hotel, plus shopping and food was convenient! Staff were super friendly and stored our luggage while we visited Busan and Jeju because we were going to return to the hotel. The only thing that I didn't like was the duvets and pillows were dusty causing me to cough.

If you intend to shop and dine in Myeongdong area, this is an excellent choice. Hotel modern, staff properly trained and breakfast excellent. Great value.

Very Safe

Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Myeongdong shopping district. Convenient access to subway to visit attractions as well as traveling to different areas of Seoul. Plenty of dining options on the area. Hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are decently sized and perfect for our 6 night stay.

Amazing location it really can’t get any better in area with so many food and shopping at your doorstep. Love there is no cars really allowed down the street so you feel safe walking

Staffs from lobby to cleaner to restaurant services are welcoming and warm. Room and other accessible areas are clean. Completely and totally excellent client experienced.

The place is centrally located. Very safe in coming in and out of the hotel. Everything is electronic. No electric iron to iron folded and cram folded clothes. Have to pay for toothpaste and toothbrush. Very small room.

Great place

It really isn’t VIP access quality. I didn’t get any room upgrade which as gold member was the main reason I booked this place. and was only compensated with bath salts.. a complimentary breakfast would have been better. No concierge service (we had to bring all our heavy luggage’s to and from room ourselves!!) and was told that housekeeping is only up to 3pm. After that, not sure you can even request any items. No iron was provided in the room and you have to personally collect fr front desk! This is more like a 2 star level where it’s basically self service. It is located at pedestrian only area which I don’t recall being mentioned on the property page in Expedia. This mean no taxi between 10am-11.30pm. We had to drag our luggage across the cobbled pedestrian pathway, spoiling our luggage wheel. The only and only plus is if you like to shop at Myeongdong, then it’s located right inside it, though there are plenty other hotels to choose from where taxi can access and housekeeping isn’t limited till 3pm! Seriously Expedia, this isn’t Gold level hotel. I booked earlier at Aloft and at least overall it was better. Room wise, the only item it had that others doesn’t was a big humidifier but frankly doesn’t justify the price of the hotel.

This is my first time visiting Korea and we stayed 4 nights at Solaria -- it was great. The location is right in the middle of Myeongdong, so all the night market attractions and public transportations are within walking distance. The room is clean and all the workers are very polite. Overall, I am very satisfied with the stay and I'd highly recommend.
