Hotal room was smelling bad, asked reception if they can put some kind of room spray but they told they don’t keep room spray.

Great stay in downtown Boston. Closer to Paul reveere's house. Not far from fenway park, or bunker hill

My stay was amazing - Clean rooms and facilities, excellent service and rooms, temperature was just right, location was great. The free breakfast was pretty basic but pretty nice. The best part of this hostel is the activities lined up for guests - solar eclipse, socials, pub crawls etc.

The only negative thing is that checkin time is 4pm. 4PM!! The day of the checkin you only go to sleep, haha.

This is probably the best hostel anywhere in the world. It’s just perfect. From its layout, design, security and functionality. Check in is a breeze, the rooms are perfect. The only complaint is squeaky beds. But other than that this place is amazing

It’s a good spot for just staying a couple of days. I like the common area and a lot of things you can do.

So central to sights and public transportation options, and staff were very friendly and helpful. First time staying in a hostel and would definitely do again!

It’s located in a good area near to many important places. They provide you towels, cover for night and breakfast with different options. The day I was there they had a movie night. Confortable beds. Clean bathroom. I think it’s perfect if you travel alone and need to stay cheap. The only “downside” is that I didn’t find private rooms, maybe I just didn’t search enough. Anyways, I really don’t mind sleeping with more people. If that’s your case you found the perfect place.

I really enjoyed staying at HI-Boston, it was a great safe place. My only note on not all five stars would be the staff. Overall, they were very pleasant, one night of my stay however, they just very short and kind of rude to basic questions. Seemed very judgmental. Either way, I still enjoyed my stay.

Great location in Chinatown, close to the major attractions and in a very walkable area. Lots of dining and take out options around the hostel. The breakfast is included and copious with various types of breads and bagels spreads, cereals, yoghurt, and coffee/tea. The common areas/kitchen have plenty of spaces to sit. The rooms were clean and spacious. The layout of the bunk beds ensures some privacy as they are all against the same side of the wall. There is a bathroom within the room, and there are extra individual bathrooms on each floor. Only downside would be the bedroom doors slam shut pretty loudly so that may be bothersome when trying to sleep but overall it was a great experience and I would book again.

Great place. Price a bit hi for a hostel. But it beats the alternative.

The room was very bare bones with hospital -esque bathroom features. The bed was not comfortable or stable and was broken.

I liked the placement and I didn't like how the rooms were cold at night.

Too good of a hostel, set the bar very very high. Don't forget your sleeping masks though.

It's ok to stay one night. But don't expect something fancy.

Good hostel. Has everything you need in an amazing location. The price is a bit high for a hostel but still one of the best value for money options I could find.

Mattress was quite comfortable but has plastic sound. Restrooms are outside, lockers inside the room. Location is really good and walkable to city spots. Some staffs are good, a black young guy was rude that I chose the bottom bed but he selected the top one for me. Love 24 hr kitchen and breakfast provided was nice.

I liked the overall atmosphere and convenience of the location. The pricing was a bit much, but that is expected since it is Boston. A big problem I found with this booking was the heating and how my roommates and I had to stay in the freezing cold. As a result, I did not get too much sleep and it felt like I was in a freezer the entire night. If the heating was fine, I would've given this place a 4-5 star rating, but sadly the heating was not working.

I love this place. It is wonderful, but it's not easy to sleep here even in a smaller room with 4 bunks. I'm still trying to figure that out.

Located downtown, easy access to restaurants, attractions, metro. The night staff was not welcoming or helping versus the day staff. Bathrooms could be clean more often. Bedroom very comfortable and convenient. Overall I had a nice stay!

Hotels in Boston are so expensive so this was the perfect fit for my stay in the city. This was my first time ever staying at a hostel. They did have a secure area where you could store your bags before check-in...which is very needed since you can't check-in until 4pm. The building was very secure and is very safe. Breakfast was basic but it was nice to have and I enjoyed it. The common areas are very nice. They allow check-in through the night which is nice if your flight gets in late but it was hard to sleep with several guests checking into bunk rooms throughout the night as you have to make your own bed. These ladies were very respectful but I understand it's tricky to make your own bed in the dark at 2AM with 4 other women trying to sleep.

It was $100 for a bed in a room with 8 other women. A hostil for $100 for a bed, at that rare might as well go to a hotel. It was a bait and switch. My resvation was for $42 but when i arrived they said I owed $106.
The bed was also not made, i had to make my own bed at 1am in the dark (and though i did it in the dark to be respectful of the other girls, the 2 women who came in after i did did not.)
The "free breakfsat" is literally JUST BREAD, so a waste of space in a healthy diet. No protien. 10/10 would not stay again. Ive stayed in MANY hostils across Europe and this experinece was just sad. Very, very sad and incredibly overpriced.

Please don’t play music in the lobby. Annoying.
