Nice place to stay!

It was clean, quiet and a great place for a beer and cider before bed. Cozy queen bedrooms with coffee maker and microwave. We were a little cool and did not find where to turn up the heat but our friends found there switch as they nestled.

Small, rustic hotel was as described. We drove by it the first time as we missed the sign for Indian.

Definitely a good value. Room was small but clean and fit our needs.

Had booked 2 nights because we taking the red eye out of Anchorage. Anchorage hotels are expensive, so I booked here , the cabins are no longer available, so I had take a room above the bar. It was so LOUD I had put in ear plugs an turn on bath exhaust fan. Finally after taking a sleeping pill I dozed off about 2 a.m.

This place ended up being great. It was the most reasonable and you got the most for your money, friendly people eager to help wonderful time. The food was fantastic and great priced.

Bed was very comfortable and nice shower! It was a quiet night.

Property has lots of junk behind building. Noise from trash being dumped in dumpster was jarring at times.

Quaint little motel located above a roadside saloon. Rooms are small, but are perfect for a one night stay. I wish I hadn’t eaten dinner in Anchorage, because the food at the restaurant looked delicious!

Comfy bed. Clean room. Loud road noise and people from the bar. Bathroom fan helped provide white noise. Small room. Fairly priced.

They worked with me on a late check-in due to a delayed airline flight.

Previous reviews seem to inflate the cleanliness of this property. The room was clean. I’ll admit that the stairs going up to the room and the weeds all around the property suggest that no one’s taking care of any of this place. The saloon was kind of cool except don’t order the salmon burger because it’s not real Salmon it’s pressed salmon, that was a disappointment. The poor woman working there was all alone cooking and serving and handing out keys to the rooms upstairs. Yes, the price was cheap.

People smoking outside of the room, coughing, partying all night, and people constantly slamming doors outside of your room throughout the night. Plus there is a bar underneath your room. Didn't even get 15 minutes of sleep

It was The perfect accomodation…place was comfy and clean…totally worth the price!

nice place for a stop before heading to Whittier

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The motel is rustic, but clean and comfortable. The shower valve was loose, so it took some experimenting to get the temperature correct, but it wasn't too difficult. For being right on the Seward Highway, it was actually quiet and easy to sleep! My visitors had a great time, and since their first activity was a Prince William Sound cruise, the location was perfect.

Nice room, beautiful Saloon with good beer and delicious food

Left 2 hours after falling asleep. Was awakened by a cockroach crawling across my face! Dirty. Run down property. Decking on balcony leading to room rotted thru and a fall hazard.Lysol can left in hall outside rooms for smell. This property shook my confidence in Expedia as it should never be represented by a reputable company.

Very nice room. Pet friendly. Great food. Glad we found this little gem!

The room was comfortable, attractive and very clean, on an upper floor above the saloon. Sarah, the night manager of the Brown Bear Saloon graciously called us to ask of our arrival status while we were at the Anchorage airport...we had a 2.5 hour flight delay and we going to be late. We appreciated her call, which gave us assurance of a guaranteed late arrival. We loved the accommodations, and we enjoyed a couple of beverages at the friendly saloon after a very long day of travel.

Good food, clean. We were above the bar. Very noisy.

It was a great stay. Wish the Wi-Fi was better, but that's Alaska. Good rooms for the price, excellent views, and the saloon is great. The saloon has a DVD collection that's shared by the locals. Bring a couple to add when you're there.

Very loud/yelling people and constantly barking dogs!!!!!

I loved the place. Exactly what i wanted: good clean bed and bath room. The staff always nice and they waited for me. My only advise is to improve the Internet that is too slow (perhaps because of the area), not a show stopper. I will go back to the same place, perfectly located to me, close to the beluga point and easy access to beautiful hiking areas.

Stayed here for the beginning and end of our trip, and it got the job done. Small, quiet, clean, with a friendly bar downstairs that serves the BEST cheeseburgers we ever had. It's nothing fancy, just a good spot to catch some shuteye. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to keep a budget.

There were no room services. Worker got mad when we requested towels. Music was loud after 10:00 pm. This place is ok for a drive by chance spend the night but not for multiple nights. No tv and just a double bed in the room and had to take luggage upstairs by stairs. Lady bartender was also rude to my roommate for asking for towels.

We stayed in late Aug 2022 in their Cabin. At first when we entered the cabin, it is didn’t feel good but once settled for an hour, felt really good. It has kitchen, bathroom and small living area in down and bed in top. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cabin!
Note: Families with kids less than 3 years, it may be not preferable due to steps to 2nd floor.

No TV. Rooms above bar so loud. Which we figured. Price was good, but you get what you pay for. We probably won’t be staying there again. Nice people though.

Great bar atmosphere. Basic but very nice room accomodations. Would definitely stay here again!

Brown Bear was a good place to stay the night before our next day departure. The rooms are basic, but clean. The bar below can be noisy in the evening, but by 10 or 11 PM it was quiet around the property.
