This adorable wooden cottage was just perfect in every way for my four days in Savusavu: kitchen was well equipped, bed was superbly comfortable, and the view over the bay was spectacular. Jan was an extremely helpful and friendly hostess. I loved the peaceful location a few km from town, which was great for walking, swimming out front, and birds/nature. I hope to be back some day!

I liked it all, but the only thing that would add to the experience is access to a bicycle, although taxis and buses regularly pass along the coastal road so transport was not an issue.

Location. Approx. $6.00 taxi ride to Savu Savu town makes it easy to access markets, eateries etc. Friendly and welcoming host. Ease of check-in/check-out. Thoughtful build and set-up in and around the cottage. Ample open space to relax and soak in the sun. Stone's throw away from the Bay makes it easy access for activities.

Absolutely lovely house. Full of character. Lovely position. Sea view. Near the town 3/4k. And Jan was super helpful. Near the best snorkelling. So much to do.

Jan and Ian went above and beyond in every way. Couldn't have been better hosts. Good snorkelling just over the road and really good snorkelling easy walking distance

Sadly, we only had 6 nights but could certainly have stayed longer.

The view from the cottage was just breathtaking🥰- a break away from everyday mundane life. We loved everything about it..our host Jan,was very welcoming and friendly, made our stay even more special. Will definitely visit again.

That we didn't book/stay for another 3 nights ...ahaha...

Location, owner/host, staff, accommodation, cleanliness, gardens, provided supplies. Jan and Ian were so gracious and helpful. Jan actually went way above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I will definitely be back to stay at The Gingerbread Cottage and Studio!!

Everything was perfect. Comfortable home away from home. There are some stairs to get up to the cottage from the road so you need to be able to traverse them to stay at this property...not a deterant if you are capable.

Where to start … the cottage is really cute with big views. There was more than enough room for a family of four. Location was perfect and the hosts are lovely. Jan was both helpful and always available yet we also had our space and privacy. We will definitely return.
