I will never stay here again. The noise is completely unacceptable and they know it. Hotel is located on the busiest street in Madrid and there's no sound proofing. Spare me the corporate response, "we're sorry to hear your say didn't meet your expectations, we strive to make every guest happy blah blah blah. Useless words. You have a sound problem and I won't stay here again. And the hotels.com rating system is biased and unreliable. There's no way this hotel could get the advertised score. The positives are that it is clean and everything is in good wokring order. The decor is dated.

There are almost 2 hotels here. One elevator goes to rooms that face mostly inside, which I was assigned initially for my 1 week stay. I tried 1 night but couldn’t imagine an entire week without seeing the sun and I asked to be changed. Desk clerk was very helpful, and although it took an additional night I was relocated. He even escorted me to the new room to view before making the change. Both rooms are spacious, clean, with good facilities. Just be aware that if what you like is to look out on to the city streets (and the noise that comes with that), you need to arrange that ahead of time, or take your chances. The hotel is perfectly located along Gran Via, with easy access to Metro + just plain walking to major sites.

The location is perfect, walking distance from everything. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The room was very nice, spacious and comfortable.

We were coming from a bad rental experience and so this hotel was pure heaven. But even without that vast contrast, the hotel is in a great location with restaurants and shopping and entertainment right down the street, lovely staff, beautiful rooms with gorgeous views of the city and everything you need for comfort and quiet. It was also very reasonably priced.

This is an excellent Hotel and one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. Great location, helpful and pleasant staff, room quality amazing and great breakfast selection. Make sure to visit the roof terrace for fantastic views.

This was a great location on Gran Via (although it comes with some noise in the evenings/mornings). Overall great value with no real complaints. I think the biggest opportunity for the hotel is to improve the buffet breakfast as we got tired of it after 2 days and decided to eat elsewhere. Limbo and Arturo were great at the roof top bar. Eduardo and Javier were also superb and they did an exceptional job during check-in but also making us feel at home everyday.

Great place in such a wonderfully Central place. I do wish it had a pool or gym. But the staff is great and it is a classic. I enjoy the old world feel of luxury.

Definitely not a 4 star. My friends were staying at the Vincci down the block and that is a true 4 star. This hotel was so outdated. Rooms smelled like old cigarettes and they had ashtrays everywhere but stated “no smoking” everywhere. ??? Make it make sense. The “rooftop” bar was non existent. Went up at 9pm one of the nights and there was no one there. The AC/Heater sucked. I was either cold or drenched in sweat. Super overpriced for what you’re getting. Yeah great location but definitely not a 4 star hotel, I’d give it a 2-3 stars max.

A proper hotel with beautiful exterior and interior. It's been there for quite a long time, in the busy Gran Via, but the rooms are modern and functional incl. heating (essential in December), a fridge, foreign (ENG GER FR) language TV-channels, etc. I was missing a kettle but it would have been provided had I asked.
I would recommend to opt for the in-house breakfast because of the good choice of items, even gluten free bread (available by request). One can decide from day to day to have it or not, for a reasonable fee.

Room is very spacious. The shower head provides powerful shower!!! Our room is at the back side corner on the 8th floor so it is very quiet. The location is very convenient for going to all the attractions either by walking or taking bus 001 which is free for visitors. We are very thankful that the hotel staff Lorenzo who gave us this very helpful information.

Hotel excellent location ,staff provide ecerything you need,I had a problem with the man at the fron desk who was super rude to me because of a cup of a coffe I forgot on a sideboard in front of the hotel,this happened onthe 26th dezember in the morning,we arrived 24 at the hotel our stay was 7 nights he harasse me every day it was horrible,He was a strong man,I dont remmend the name,He was super hostile to me my intire stay….

The staff were amazing- courteous, thoughtful. They gave me a very early check in when I asked to store my luggage, they made helpful suggestions, called a taxi twice when I needed them, and did a beautiful turndown. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is great nice, clean and very close to a lot of cool places. Staff did not go out of their way to make the experience any better. They front desk is just there but don’t go out of their way to help or guide you how to navigate the city or offer help on your room.

Beautiful property, with well-appointed rooms and perfectly situated on the Gran Via. It's within walking distance of most major sights and excellent shopping. We would recommend guests ask for a room in back, away from the police sirens on Gran Via. The breakfast was disappointing; there are better options nearby.

Hotel very well placed on the centre of the busiest start in Madrid, close to everything including the metro. Hotel was well insolated, so no traffic noise. Lovely buffet breakfast, nice rooftop lounge/ bar with free tea/ coffee
